Guests staying at Castle Motel can enjoy a lovely day outside, swimming in the pool and using the barbecue facilities provided. A children’s playground and a lovely picnic area are also available. Well set up and very clean. Location great and staff friendly. Could not get better value for money.
Located in Castlemaine, this refurbished boutique hotel offers free WiFi, free parking and a guest lounge. The host Maggie was very friendly. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was very nice. Stewed plums were yummy. We really enjoyed our stay.
Located in Castlemaine, Albion Boutique Motel Castlemaine features a garden, terrace and free WiFi. The motel has family rooms. Ange was wonderful, so courteous and friendly and gave us a good few local tips! Also pet friendly with a good fenced in spot for our puppy.

ONE OF THE MAIN SERIOUS TROUBLE IS WITH BOOKING.COM BECAUSE THETE IS NO SIMPLE EASYB WAYBTO CONTACT YOU AND TELL YOU THE TROUBLES..I WAS HAVING...YOUR SITE IS NOT USER FRIENDLY...ITRIED AND TREIND AND GOT NO WHERE...SO AFTER THIS TERRIBLE BUSINESS I WOULD NOIT USE YOUR SITE AGAIN !!!!!
Lovely feel to the regional town. Easily accessible, clearly sign posted, all facilities and services that I required were available. Was recommended to try Big Jim's for Pizza - very nice indeed and highly recommended. Was also recommended Saffs Cafe in Mostyn Street. It was excellent, very busy and the staff were top notch !
Great steam train trip to Malden, great restored carriages etc. Nice town to wander around with some lovely buildings. Had pizza one weekday afternoon in Victory Park and it was obvious that a small portion of the population had very little or no civic or personal pride in their home. Rubbish, beer cans and softdrink cans everywhere. A shame in such a lovely park.
Castlemaine has a great vibe centred around its history and it’s future. We loved the sense of revitalisation and the mix of people we came across. There was an interesting variety of things to do from seeing a movie at a country cinema to a hot rod museum, farmers markets and the vibrant Mill precinct opposite the lovely botanical gardens. There lots of good places to eat and drink, so many we didn’t get through them all in six days.
fascinating place steeped in Goldfields history still retaining an appealing collection of buildings, trees and private gardens. Lovely botanical gardens. Food wise, spoiled for choice, especially breakfast and lunch options. Tasty small goods, bakeries, wineries (but where in southern Australia can that not be said!!) Not so many evening meal options but pubs are good and there are a few exceptional restaurants, especially Wild. Many galleries and nearby towns especially Maldon that add to the rich experience of at least three days in Castlemaine. Any fewer days and you will leave frustrated.
Online booking was not very good. I was not able to see if the cabin had bathroom for the price I paid. We had to leave and went to find motel room. Please check carefully when you book cabins as I was sure that all cabins must have bathrooms, but apparently not all of Big 4 have them.
The Apartment is beautiful in architectural details from the beautiful arches to the scenes depicting life along Castlemaine in the goldrush times when the Globe Hotel wad built The Apartment has comfortable beds and the free breakfast and fruit were much appreciated We meet the two terriers Bella and Harry Gardens at the back of the Globe are beautiful Selvi and Trevor are great hosts Made is chai tea and fed us cake when we arrived We will be back for more Selvi and Trevot
My adult daughter and I travelled for a short break and had a lovely time. Shirley is an excellent host. We loved the chooks and had fresh eggs collected for breakfast each morning. We had intended to use the pool every day but there was so much to do in the Castlemaine area we didn't manage it. Wifi was free (needed for work for one of us) and we relearned how to play Scrabble. The second bedroom is best suited to children.
What a gorgeous character filled property so close to town....we just LOVED our stay....the artists market....and the produce market, in Castlemaine today were outstanding....thanks Jan for your friendliness and hospitality....we shall return....blessings...... Maryanne and Julie
Great location, very central to special places in the town. We received a warm welcome and we were very happy with the room. Bed was very comfy; privacy was good; quiet area and no disturbances. We had everything we needed for our two days away in lovely Castlemaine.
Gorgeously refurbished blacksmithy at back of heritage hotel. First class amenities and owner Trevor was so accommodating. His generous, homemade crepes with raspberry jam were a treat. Lovely private gardens surrounded by so much history.
The bed was comfortable and heating was warm. We slept well. Very nice decor in room and tv good. We would stay again if we came back to Castlemaine. Thank you.
The motel room had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. It was nice and close to town and within walking distance of exploring Castlemaine.
Excellent facilities and location and faultless service from our hosts. Highly recommended. The stove was excellent too
Great hotel with good facilities and a fabulous host. Well done Maggie
Love be&be Castlemaine. It's always so peaceful and relaxing. The two bedroom loft space is set out very well and has a lovely ambience. Breakfast provisions are provided and special dietary requirements catered for by Nicola. It's a real treat staying here.
Interesting art work. Period ambience well done, not cheesy.
Lovely and peaceful surroundings, staff very friendly.
recently refurbished motel…. back of the hotel overlooks the old gold rush landscape.. staff contacted me prior and left some beautiful bread for toast in the morning…
Fabulous place to stay with such interesting hosts who made the stay particularly colourful and enjoyable. Frank's light show from the balcony was amazing!
