Offering free continental breakfast, an onsite cafe and free WiFi, Fig Cafe and Accommodations is located in Castlemaine. All accommodations offers a flat-screen TV. My husband and I loved many things about our stay at Fig Cafe and Accommodation. The apartment was perfect and cosy for a couple, I especially love the French provincial-style. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and communication with staff was excellent. I also liked the small kitchen area with tea, coffee, fresh milk and yogurt! We thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary coffee and cake the following morning at the cafe and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended!!

Good variety of goods in the shops and the attendants helpful --especially in the shoe shop. Also the tasty food and warmth of the café nearby. Cann`t praise enough All staff at the Castlemaine Hospital for their care of my husband and myself during his stay there. Enjoyed walking and admiring the beautifully restored old houses in the town.

Historic township, with helpful and friendly local people. We loved the Castlemaine Art Gallery, and Museum, and Buda Historic House. The Castlemaine Botanical Gardens are a joy to explore. The local bookshops, the local shopping, the Railway Hotel for an evening meal... We walked everywhere in the town, our accommodation was 3 mins from the train station, it's a perfect town to visit as an accidental tourist. We're planning a day trip from Melbourne in June, accompanied by a small group of Qld friends.
A lovely place to spend a few days. Lots of interesting shops and places to eat. I found the Botanic Gardens this time and loved wandering around the paths. Visited the Art Gallery. Always worth some time. Very pleasant Artspace.

The cottage is perfect for two and is tasteful and stylish. The sofa and bed were very comfortable - everything was wonderful. Location is great as so close to everything and having the cafe next door, which is fabulous, was an extra bonus. The owner and staff are lovely and extremely helpful. We will go back and highly recommend Fig.

Delightful and warm quirky cottage with very comfortable beds. Trevor our host was so welcoming and kind. The fridge was well stocked for a 'cook your own' breakfast, and Trevor even bought us chai in the morning. Great location for town and Also country walks if you are on foot.

Nicola is a generous host, we arrived to her cheerfully lit stable house with a fridge filled with beautiful Istra bacon, eggs, yogurt, a selection of quality juices and extra supplies of milk, not to mentioned fresh breads and muesli on the kitchen bench. The house is gorgeously refurbished, artfully and eclecticaly furnished. Whoever is responsible with the styling/design has great eyes and a daft design touch. We loved the personal touches, soft lightings and well considered interiors. The beautiful gardens and landscape completed the perfect setting. We loved the place and cannot wait to come back.
