Everything right down to the amenities the position and the way the hosts have provided the ultimate private oasis. The comfort was out of this world for camping and it’s a great credit to how they have created this space

The only comment was, we actually had 2 nights in the cottage, as we had made a mistake in our booking. The host had no problem in supplying a night before our booking’s reservation and were able to accommodate us so we didn’t have to move. Impressive 😊

We liked absolutely everything, about this amazing place. Host was delightful and this whole experience was the highlight of our Tasmanian holiday. Spent 2 nights but sooooo wish it had been more.

Coles Bay is in a beautiful location on the Freycinet Peninsula in a Tasmanian National Park. The beaches and surrounding forests are beautiful and totally unspoilt which means wildlife is plentiful! (wallabies, echidnas, possums and many species of birds) The walking trails are well marked and can be obtained from the National Parks Information Lodge.

We are seasoned visitors to Coles Bay and have great regard for it. In years gone by when the girls were younger we spent several annual holidays there and have always, and still do, found it to be well-nigh the perfect holiday location. In later years we have continued our delight in visiting there - Coles Bay is unashamedly one of our very favourite destinations.

The ease of checking in and the friendliness of the staff...
The ease of checking in and the friendliness of the staff both at reception and the restaurant were magnificent. The cabins are very comfortable, quiet and secluded with excellent views of the water and the Hazard mountains. While the cabins could do with a few upgrades, it did not detract from our stay and the beds are very comfortable. Only 5 minutes from Coles Bay and with a new in-house restaurant, it truly is a great destination to wind down.

Some venues/tours advertised as OPEN but weren't! (Disappointing)
Great meals at The Lodge. Great location, ambiance, service plus friendly staff.
Coals Bay easy to drive around, find parking etc.
Tourist outlets very apologetic due to cancellation because of severe weather, but this didn't spoil our trip.
Our surroundings compared with any other views from anywhere around the world, Coles Bay was definitely world class.
Will certainly advertise this to all our friends.

I liked Coles BAy, but honesly, I would have gone to St Helena or Bay Of Fires if I knew they were so great. But I enjoyed Coles Bay, only thing is it was Wet and Rainy and Cold during our visit. We did a Heli-Flip though and saw Wine-Glass Bay from a couple of hundred foot in the air.

We would have liked more options for lunch - somewhere warm to sit and eat and admire the view. We ended up buying fish and chips and eating it in the car. The Ice Creamery, where we bought lunch, was freezing cold. Should have eaten at Freycinet Lodge, but it was too early when we were there. It is only easy to get around Coles Bay if you have a car. Some places are not suitable for caravans.
Our favourite places are Honeymoon Bay and the Lighthouse walk.

We were given a quiet cabin on the edge of the site and were very pleased with the location. It was very well equipped, bed was comfortable. Campsite was quiet considering the numbers of people using it. Cafe and tavern on site with good pizzas and other food. Easy walking distance by attractive waterside walk (with lovely views of the Hazards) to Coles Bay with its excellent ice creamery/fish and chip shop and supermarket.
Well equipped cabin in the wilderness of the Freycinet National Park, but only a few minutes from township of Coles Bay. Cabin was located toward rear of property and therefore had limited views. Wi-fi was available only in main lodge building. The staff, right from reception through to restaurant/bar were very friendly and extremely helpful. The included breakfast was delicious with a good range of options. Would stay again.
