K'gari Beach Resort, formally 'McKenzie's on 75 restaurant and bar serve buffet and a la carte meals daily, and overlooks the large lagoon swimming pool and outdoor spa.. Location, staff, Atmosphere, restraunt... pretty much everything. A huge shoutout to Dean from the restraunt / Bar. Exceptional service and friendliness 5 star!
Facing the beachfront in Fraser Island, Fraser Island Beach Houses has an outdoor pool and a garden. With barbecue facilities, the property also features a spa and wellness centre. Very large apartment, perfect for 6 people. 3 rooms with 2 double beds and 2 singles. One bedroom en- suite. Eurong is close to the Ferry so only a short drive to get to the accommodation and unpack. Then it's a perfect location to start exploring the island - either heading north to champagne pools or inland to lake McKensie.
Situated in Fraser Island in the Queensland region, Elouera Units features a patio and garden views. The property is 33 km from Hervey Bay, and complimentary private parking is available. Location amazing accessable to everything and really easy to access with the 4wd. Units had everything we needed and really comfortable.
Located on the Northern end of the World Heritage Listed Fraser Island, just a 7-minute walk from the beach, Orchid Beach Apartments provides spacious accommodation set amongst palm trees and... Everything was excellent. Great for the family, had everything we needed, it felt like having a home away from home 😊
The Holiday House is set in Fraser Island and offers a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. Fantastic for family with little ones. They had high chairs and kids bowls etc. For feeding. Lots of open space to run/crawl without hazards. Exceptional view of sunset and a side view of sunrise 🥰
Apart from the disgraceful accommodation, luckily Fraser Island is a dream island to visit. We are Queenslanders and have visited Fraser Is 8 times now and will return, but NEVER to the Fraser Island retreat, they should be taken off your books !!!!
I have been to Fraser Island a few times and it never disappoints. So much to see and explore - just a beautiful spot. Eli Creek and Lake Mackenzie are awesome. I have to improve my fitness to do some of the longer walks, but I did manage to get to Sandy Cape and check out the WW2 Bunkers etc
Fraser Island is an extraordinarily beautiful natural wonderland. The beaches are incredible with the opportunity of many whale sightings during whale season. The walk along the creek through the rainforest at Central Station to Pile Valley is easy and relaxing. Lake McKenzie has the most beautiful white sands and clear water. Indian Head has views to die for. You need a 4WD to get around but there is so much to see and do and plenty of walks and attractions get out and make the most of this natural wonderland.
Driving your own or a hired 4WD is fun in itself both along the ocean and in the inland tracks. The lakes are stunning and you can even swim in winter (if the sun is out, of course). Talking about the lakes, beyond the well renowned Lake Mackenzie, I would recommend the 30-minute walk (from the ocean shore) to Lake Wabby, a treasure hidden in all those dunes... Fantastic experience! Luckily on Fraser there is limited wifi, so my teenage girls managed to stay off their phones most of the time and enjoy Nature and the Moment.
Ive been going to fraser island for over 20 years. I did the lakes and all the sight seeing things to do years ago and thoufgt it was time to revisit all off the places again which was lovely ot didnt disapoint. Normally i camp up at sandy cape or waddy pount this time i have stayed in the 2 resorts first at kingfisher then over to Eurong which makes it easier to visit all the lakes.
Amazing we visit at least once a year. Best place to stay is Kingfisher, followed by Eurong which is nice but a bit basic. Avoid Fraser Island Retreat at Happy Valley, grim at best. Eli Creek and Lake McKenzie are great for children. Do some research and look for the hideen gems.
Ann and Kerry the property keepers were so lovely, helpful and full of suggestions. Andrew the property owner was also great. Helped us out before we left and gave us lots of suggestions since this was our first time to Fraser Island.
You can do as much or as little as you like on Fraser Island. Eurong is a perfect place to stay. Shop, bakery, Bar and restaurant. BBQ to cook. Good driving distance to all sights. Rooms are good. Beautiful Breeze throughout.
The view was stunning and the location was perfect for exploring Fraser island. Kitchen was well equipped. The whole house was clean and comfortable.
Fraser Island is a fantastic location, amazing natural history. Kingfisher Bay Resort is great, plenty to do and see, great facilities.
Fraser Island Beach Houses location was great to get to the beautiful scenery spots on the island.
Fraser Island Eli Creek, Maheno, Lake McKenzie not enough time to see more.
Location was great. Hosts very helpful and friendly
