Heaps of cafes and restaurants, shopping all walking distance from beach front walks, train station short walk. Great night life considering it was just a normal weekend in winter. Every part of Geelong we saw was very clean and maintained, great place to walk and relax.

We(5 older women) visited Geelong for 2 days.

We(5 older women) visited Geelong for 2 days. We took Vline to reach the accommodation. Visited Botanical gardens & water front. Botanical gardens need some work as some areas were neglected but worth the visit. Waterfront was excellent & loved the view, semicircle walk way in the water, seating area etc We went to Westfield shopping centre to cafe & Coles. This shopping centre has variety of shops. I will visit Geelong again for couple of days when I get a chance

Geelong has plenty to see and do in the city itself but is also a good spot to base yourself with easy drives to places like Queenscliff, Port Arlington, the You Yangs national park etc. Eastern beach is a great place to either take a swim or just to stroll along the beach to Cunnington Pier etc.

Last time we were in town we went to the Old Goal, the mini golf course, Port Arlington Golf Club (bistro), Colac Golf Club (played 18 holes), the waterfront and the Fairy Park. We enjoyed all of the above, with the Fairy Park on the big rock being a wow factor (and this was for 2 middle aged adults travelling without kids). This time we were in town only overnight for a funeral however can recommend those things based on our previous visit. A heads up the ice cream was delicious at the mini golf Centre and the meal was lovely at the golf course.

The water front is picturesque and there are plenty of things to see and do in Geelong. Food at the local hotels was excellent, as was the friendly service. We had a car, so it was easy to drive around.

We visited Geelong for the purpose of attending the Geelong Beer Festival. Our accommodation at Rydges was excellent and very convenient to the Festival (which was in Johnstone Park). Geelong turned on an absolute cracker of a day for us: a beautiful sunny summer's day in a great venue for a great festival!

The building is spectacular. The best rebuild and renovation I have ever seen. Great beds, fine linen, great heating and quality fittings. For my disabled colleague, the shower was accessible and a pleasure to use. Secure parking is appreciated and the locale excellent. Absolutely amazing space with modern and tasteful, furniture, including controlled blinds. A wonderful secret place to enjoy Geelong. close to waterfront too!

Staying at the Vue Apartments meant that we were close to the waterfront (we had a great breakfast at The Wharf Shed which was only a few minutes walk away), as well as doing some retail therapy at Westfield and dining at a beautiful restaurant (The Arborist) in Little Malop Street. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfortable! Staff were very welcoming and helpful!

Quest Hotel was very conveniently located a short walk or drive to the Geelong CBD. The apartment was very well appointed with a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer and lounge room. We were able to wash our clothes during our 2-night stay as part of a 10-week trip from WA to Tasmania.

Stunning terrace cottage right near the beach, waterfront activities and city. Modern and stylish. Perfect for a single or couple. After many trips to Geelong for the Festival of Sails, it was lovely to be in a pretty residential area instead of the city grid.
