The public transport system and cost is just amazing. It made all the difference to our family holiday and the kids enjoyed it. Gold Coast is just beautiful. Been to the Goldie lots but never stayed Coolangatta end...
Been to the Goldie lots but never stayed Coolangatta end before. We would definitely return. Lots of bars and restaurants, lovely beach, great spot to do some travelling south for day trips. The traffic to get to Surfers Paradise is horrendous though due to the extension of the light rail roadworks. Allow a good 30 minutes. Parking around Coolangatta is not easy, I would recommend if you're doing a large shop go early to get an easier park. It's a lovely quiet spot compared to a lot of other beaches/locations on the GC. Hire a bike from Kool Bikes in Coolangatta and cycle along the waterfront from Cooly to Currumbin - a great way to spend a couple of hours.Guest review byMaureenNew Zealand - 10.0

We loved the beach at Broadbeach and the pub next door to our hotel. The music was great as we relaxed in the spa. The sauna was great. Great restaurants enjoying margaritas. Love the Gold Coast. Plenty to do if you want to sightsee. We only really wanted to do a whale watching cruise this year. Have done the main attractions previously. My parents were visiting from the UK and that is certainly the way to show them to gold coast!! I had bought Sky Point tickets to show them the view and it honestly was just as good from our balcony. Room wasnt ready at check in but the waiter at Hyde bar gave us a round of free drinks whilst we waited.
