An amazing experience to stay at JW Marriott. The staff was very courteous and caring. Rooms were very nice and had great views. The best part was the breakfast at Citrique which has one of the most elaborate spreads that I had seen. Lots of options for vegetarian as well. And desserts that were quite delicious. The pool area is also very nice and cozy. Lots of lounging chair. They even have a large heated pool and a heated jacuzzi. Don't miss them if you are there.

The units and high apartment buildings are a bit tired.

The units and high apartment buildings are a bit tired. If driving, when planning your journey be familiar with toll roads. Get out of the commercialism of the gold coast - we preferred Noosa to Gold Coast. There was more of a sense of fun there. We loved driving into the beautiful countryside - there are many cute country town within a couple of hours of the Gold Coast. We loved Brisbane and had a few days investigating the city and found lots of nice places to eat and drink.

The public transport system and cost is just amazing.

The public transport system and cost is just amazing. It made all the difference to our family holiday and the kids enjoyed it. Gold Coast is just beautiful. Theme Parks so easily accessible and the unlimited tickets are value for money. Sea World and Dreamworld our two most favorite. So many delicious food places.

Been to the Goldie lots but never stayed Coolangatta end before. We would definitely return. Lots of bars and restaurants, lovely beach, great spot to do some travelling south for day trips. The traffic to get to Surfers Paradise is horrendous though due to the extension of the light rail roadworks. Allow a good 30 minutes. Parking around Coolangatta is not easy, I would recommend if you're doing a large shop go early to get an easier park. We barely used our car as we made sure our accommodation was in easy walking distance of the esplanade.

It's a lovely quiet spot compared to a lot of other beaches/locations on the GC. Hire a bike from Kool Bikes in Coolangatta and cycle along the waterfront from Cooly to Currumbin - a great way to spend a couple of hours.

We loved the beach at Broadbeach and the pub next door to our hotel. The music was great as we relaxed in the spa. The sauna was great. Great restaurants enjoying margaritas. Pacific Fair was close by. We watched a movie in the event cinema (Gold Class). Fantastic.

Everything about this property was fantastic, especially when compared to similar hotels/apartments we have stayed at in Broadbeach on past occassions. We saved over $300 staying at the Meriton for the week and were only a block further back from the ocean and Oasis shops which didn't bother us one bit. They've done lovely renovations to the Meriton fairly recently, and we had a wonderful stay. The only rooms that seemed not to have been updated were the bathrooms, but still perfectly acceptable.
