Everything was great cant fault it. From the arrival to the exit. Every one was friendly and Happy.. Breakfast was great and they were very accommodating with what my wife wanted. The lady serving the Breakfast was brilliant.
The Quarterdecks Retreat is located in the Boat Harbor precinct of Hervey Bay. Wi-Fi is available throughout the five-acre retreat free of charge.
WOW...that's what you call spacious...with a garage. Nice living room, comfortabel bed and a washing machine. Perfect place with everything you need. You feel like an inhabitant from the fist minute on. One of the best stays I had. Definitely a place to come back.
Under new management from 2020 and with a great seafront location, the family-owned Hervey Bay Motel offers a relaxed base with home comforts, from which to visit the World Heritage listed Fraser...
I was met with a smile and made to feel welcome. The room was very clean and had all the amenities that I required. The location was great, plenty of places to eat that were walking distance.

Hervey Bay was surprisingly big. This meant all the 'name' shops were represented so we could buy what we would also find in bigger cities. But it still had the feel of a seaside tourist resort. The weather is prefect year round. Temperatures mid to late 20s at night were the lowest and only early 30's maximum high during the day. People are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed
Liked the spa bath and the marina view from the upper floor. I was surprised to be asked for a deposit bond equal to the room charge I already paid. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked and not asked by any other accommodation provider during our week long journey.
Hervey Bay is a great spot for families who want to enjoy a slower pace for a few days. Great walking and bike paths. Plenty of playgrounds and great, shallow, calm swimable beach. Restaurants get busy on school holidays so would recommend booking ahead.
Freedom III whale watching trip was excellent. Friendly staff, trip not rushed, nice food served! Lots of good close-up sightings of the whales by stopping the boat near the whales and letting them come to the boat.
Hervey Bay is a big big town but conserved the nature around. The Esplanade is great to walk, ride by bicycle or enjoy in any of the bbq tables, see the sunset. Also from August to October is there whales (one of the most great tours to do). Many restaurants options, I've been at Paolo's Pizza and La Bella Italia (such a great food, you feel to be in Italy , promise) Also you can do snorkel, diving and many tours around. Fraser Island, just in front of the bay is an incredible places in the world!
If your looking for the Whale Season, Hervey Bay is the place to go. Forget any other areas on the sunshiune coast. I've done those. No comparison to Hervey Bay. The choice of Whale watching boats is amazing & there is a boat to suit everyone. Platypus Bay is a mecca for the whales. And Mid August was the perfect time. I Choose the Freedom III boat because of the capped numbers on board. More space to move around the boat, not overcrowded. The all day Tour, Morning tea, Great Buffet lunch , wine & afternoon tea. The crew & Skipper was amazing. And catered to attention to detail. To the point of coming to you to collect your plates after eating so you don't miss a thing on the water. And I love that it's a family owned boat. We had a large pod of juvenile whales surrounding our boat for 2 Hours!! That's unheared of .
Excellent price point for the apartments. Massive rooms and more then enough room for the whole family. The cooking facilities and in room laundry was amazing as well. The apartment was well cleaned, the blinds could use with updating though. The main bedroom bed was bit hard for us personally, however that’s not something to downgrade the overall score as that could just be personal preference. Overall it was a great stay and if we travel back to Hervey Bay we will be back. 🙂
Traveling as a family, we like staying in backpackers because of the communal spaces, the amenities, and the price. The private room at Hervey Bay Flashpackers was surprisingly spacious for a backpacker! We had plenty of room for our toddler's travel cot. Nice communal kitchen with a big cold room for everyone's food. Only a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and park. We would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was in a great location and the service was wonderful. The room was clean, a good old school style hotel - great size and everything you need for a beach holiday. Hotel staff were very friendly and gave some great advice about places to eat and things to do.
Excellent property, perfectly located. Very competitive price, lots of little touches that shows how much they appreciate your visit and value their property. With family in Hervey Bay we’ve already booked our next trip and are staying here again.
We stayed recently with our family and 4 others spread around the park. Kids absolutely loved it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was good. Relaxed atmosphere. Great value for money.
Very impressed with the staff, motel (room) and location. Will definitely be recommending the Motel to friends and family and when we come back to Hervey Bay, will be staying here.
The Reception staff were friendly and professional, the location, pool and safety of the Beach Motel make it a very dependable and comfy stay when we are up visiting family.
Location was great walking distance to marina and Boat Club. Good affordable restuarant and bar, nice spa and pool. It's my go to hotel in Hervey Bay
Great hotel in awesome location across from the beach and close to restaurants. Room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
Grounds kept beautiful, great camp kitchen, pool, games area for the kids. Friendly staff. Cabins clean and family friendly.
Spacious and clean apartments, perfect for a family trip. Close to the beach and cafes. Family loved the spa bath
