The location is terrific, and the room was a perfect size for my husband and I. We were impressed by the breakfast - much more than we needed! The communal front sitting area was great - we used it both nights for happy hour. lovely views of the ocean and a short stroll to the pub. We will definitely stay there again!

The two rooms we rented were close to each other. They were comfortable enough, and we appreciated having a small fridge with cold water to refill our bottles.

Clean, neat, friendly staff. Value for money. Great position on the esplanade.
Our property is designed for genuine travelers and does not provide accommodations to people with a residential address within the same local government area.

I loved the variety of plants and tree’s right out my front door. I loved the peacocks and it was very quiet. The cabin was just the right size, was nice and homey.

Go to Hervey Bay between July and mid October in order to see the thousands of humpback whales that come to the bay. It is the main attraction and to my mind the best place in the world to see them relaxing and playing before they migrate south. There are unique things seen here that are not necessarily seen anywhere else.
The town is quite spread out being some 12 kms long but only say 2 kms wide so there is a need if staying and wanting to eat out for a car - taxis are available but may take time to arrive. Good beaches but no real surf.

excellent place to stay.
excellent place to stay. Getting to be like the Gold Coast now though which has spoilt the tranquillity of the place. Progress, population, will spoil everything. Liked it much better as a child growing up there.

We have family in Brisbane that we visit a couple of times a year. Always seem to gravitate to Hervey Bay for at least a few days. Plenty to do, see and within easy reach of other places. We are looking to come back on a regular basis for a month or two a year to escape NZ winter. Not open this time but liked outside water park when we had grandkids with us

A lovely coastal town with lots to offer.
A lovely coastal town with lots to offer. Including shopping centre to purchase supplies for our apartment. Great dining out facilities, restaurants, pubs, cafes for coffee. Markets at the beach. The best part is the very professional run Whale Watching excursions available.
We loved Hervey Bay so much that on our way back down the Qld coast we stayed again for another night.

The best thing about Hervey Bay is the whale watching.
The best thing about Hervey Bay is the whale watching. It was amazing and we went with Tasman and we even got to snorkel off the back of the boat with whales swimming all around us.
We only went to the Esplanade at night on a Sunday but was hard to find the heart of the place, so didn’t particularly like the place per se

On the esplanade so great location to walk across the road to the beach
Close to lots of local food places
The manager who checked me in was lovely
Perfect location for our quick trip to Hervey Bay. Quiet location in walking distance to the Boat Club.
Friendly welcoming staff. The hotel style room was very adequate, comfortable and quite.
Across the road from the beach, spacious and clean, use of the washing machine and dryer, family friendly touches like board games and books, buckets and spades for the beach, plenty of seating
The budget room was large and had everything I needed. It was nicer than I expected. I loved that the hotel was right across the street from the beach.
