This property is a little gem, I'm so glad we found it for our overnight stay. It was so cosy and comfortable, the kids wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning but Glenare on Read will definitely be our first choice the next time we're in Horsham. This is a 10/10 property.

Nicely renovated house with very comfortable beds and nice added touches like fuzzy blankets, solid furniture and a renovated bathroom with a beautiful soaking tub. The kitchen was very clean and there were nice, new plates and bowls etc. Seemed like a good, safe area close to downtown Horsham. A good stop over on the drive from Melbourne to Adelaide for us.

The room is what you expect from a well managed motel! 1. Late check-in option and self pickup of key options. Clear instructions to retrieve keys were texted on the day of check-in. 2. The room had everything I needed - TV, kettle, microwave, fridge, iron and board, coffee-milk and cookies! 3. Great space for a couple! Facilities such as pool and outdoor area to relax available within property. The room was well planned. 4. Quiet space and no loud neighbours. 5. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Any place that offers conditioner deserves bonus points!

Location was great of this accommodation. The local Vic hotel very average meals. The quaintness and quietness was lovely. Not a place I'd stay longer than a couple of days. Do not stop at the bakery in Ararat.. really bad.. we threw our food... Go to a supermarket or have a BBQ.

I just stayed one night going through Horsham so cannot comment on except to say I did go across to the Victoria hotel for dinner and found the meals were very good and reasonable cost. Would certainly go there again.

A large rural town which has something for everyone.

A large rural town which has something for everyone. Stay in a motel or caravan park, and consider visiting some sites including the botanical gardens, the racecourse, have a picnic by the Wimmera river. Easy to drive around and find your way with plenty of parking in town. Friendly staff in the local cafes, shops and RSL. Lots of history to learn about the area. Worth stopping on your way through to Adelaide. The Horsham Agricultural Show is an annual event on the AFL grand final long weekend. I prefer this rural show to the Royal Melb. Show.

Pleasing to find well appointed accommodation and facilities...

Pleasing to find well appointed accommodation and facilities worthy of a three-star hotel rather than a motel. Very modern and comfortable with friendly staff. Stay was a halfway accommodation for a day trip to Adelaide, so no views on Horsham as a place to visit. Would love to have had the opportunity to try the Florenie though, one of Horsham's specialities.

Horsham is an attractive regional city with all of the conveniences one expects in Melbourne or Adelaide. We especially enjoyed dining twice at the Capital Bistro in Firebrace Street, and staying at the Glenlea motel-- which deserves a higher rating than three stars. We booked there because our preferred alternatives were fully booked, but we found the Glenlea motel to be spacious, bright, and comfortable -- and much better value than the more expensive motels we have stayed in previously.

The room, pool and spa area were incredibly clean and tidy. It was in a very good location, next to shoppings,Coles, Aldi, woollies and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I forgot a pair of shoes and got a phone call from the hotel as soon as they found them. They provided toiletries, towels for the pool and a had a tourist guide in the room that was very helpful.

The two rooms were spacious, clean and lovely. With microwave, toaster, kettle and cutlery & crockery along with tea and coffee making ingredients, we could have made our own meals, but The Vic Hotel just two doors down did a beautiful evening meal at a good price (recommended in the handbook in our rooms).
