Located in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Cooinda Lodge Kakadu offers air-conditioned rooms with a private courtyard. Guests enjoy access to outdoor swimming pools and a restaurant. Stayed in lodge great room, air conditioner powerful enough for November heat and humidity. Shower powerful and clean. Coffee and tea milk etc provided. Shampoo conditioner etc also. Tv in room has adequate channels. Restaurant and pool facilities good.
From the marble foyer to its uniquely shaped exterior, Mercure Kakadu Crocodile is a retreat in the wilderness of Kakadu National Park. Very nice rooms, all with a view of the pool. Loved the funky design to look like a crocodile!
Nestled amongst tropical landscaped gardens, in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Kakadu Lodge boasts a lagoon style swimming pool and an onsite bar and restaurant. Good base for exploring Kakadu park. We enjoyed a lot a swimming pool and a cafeteria next to it.
Aurora Kakadu hotel is set in the lush surroundings of the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park. It is located in the South Alligator region of Kakadu, just 2km from the river. We would fly back tomorrow for the Apple Strudle 👍👍👍👍
Jabiru is spectacular and a must do. The rangers are very hands on, there are so many guided walks and talks available free. I wish we had spent a little longer there and it would be amazing to see at the beginning of dry season. I can’t speak more highly of this natural wonder.
Good base to see all the things that Kakadu has to offer. Would recommend doing day trip to Arnhem Land and a scenic flight. Also do a ranger guided free walk to one of the rock art sites. Places to eat the bar bistro at the Lodge pool area and try the Boarder Store at Cahills Crossing.
It’s a spread out town with all essential services for its community developed by The Ranger mine which is closing soon apparently. Good location for visiting Ubirr and Arnhem Land . Croc hotel good for eating and staying and better value. Good Asian restaurant as well.
