Located in Katanning, The Premier Mill Hotel features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. What a hidden gem. Love the friendly staff and beautiful interesting story of the old mill and that so much of it has been preserved. Will be back!
Situated in Katanning, Yellow Gum Bed and Breakfast features free WiFi throughout the property. This bed and breakfast offers a garden. The property provides a 12-hour front desk. The owners were fantastic and even helped me with a rather unusual request after I accidentally failed to pack something that I needed that morning.
Kojonup Bed and Breakfast provides air-conditioned accommodation in Kojonup. With a garden, the property also has barbecue facilities, as well as a terrace. Very welcoming. Excellent host. Lovely clean room with ensuite and comfortable bed. Would highly recommend. We stayed overnight on the way from Albany to Perth and the host was very accommodating with us arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning. Kerry clearly puts a lot of time and effort into providing guests with a comfortable experience and I would highly rate her service.
Enjoyed strolling through the shops etc, people on the street were very pleasant and talkative. Appeared to be tidy and quite clean. At the time of our visit was cold and we had miserable weather although the trip was still very pleasant. We stayed at the Premier Mill Hotel and ate at the Dome Cafe that is there. The Cordial Bar there was very unique and the staff were excellant.
interesting to visit....been there done that. Had we not had friends living in Katanning, probably wouldn't have come. Went to visit Lake Ew....? Followed gps and got no where other than locked gate onto a property...not a road??????????? That was a turn off for wasted hour there & back.
The Mill was a super place to stay. Pity the cafe wasn't quite up to what we expected. Overall though the hotel was delightful. Very clean & staff were efficient , attentive & pleasant. Particularly the concierge Nathan. Cheers .
Not a lot happening in Katanning. Everything closes very early and Saturday night finishes about 9.00 pm. Would be hard pressed to find anything to eat in the evening if you didn't feel like Asian food. Next time would probably only stay one night at hotel and move on to Denmark/Albany the second day.
Katanning is obviously struggling, so it was good to be able to put some money into the town. Premier Mill Hotel was the highlight of our short stay. Really sad to see the bushfire devastation just outside the town.
We would highly recommend a visit to the Old Railway Station in Katanning where we meet Arthur Todd who was very interesting and informative with regards to the history of Katanning. Arthur has a web site Lost Katanning. It was also great to see that the owners of the old roller flour mill had the foresight to retained and not lose any of it's character and history in the restoration to a hotel.
