We attended a Wake at Mercure and it was not finishing until 6pm, so decided it best to stay the night instead of getting caught up in traffic with a 2hour 20 minute drive home. Liverpool is a melting pot of different cultures and people that can cater for diverse needs. It is not a typical Sydney tourist destination, but it does offer great food options, Indian, Lebanese and Turkish stores and also a Westfield. Very modern hotel situated within the Catholic Sporting Club of Liverpool. Mercure operates the hotel accommodation and the CSCL provides club facilities where you sign in as a guest of the club and Mercure. Fine dining restaurant, large bistro (suitable for families too), a newly opened cafe for light snacks, breakfast etc. The locals of Liverpool were the clientele in the main.
