Visiting Melbourne really benefits from wandering around and getting lost in the city. There are lots of hidden gems. Visiting galleries and museums is a great way to spend a cold or rainy day, but when it's warm the city comes alive with outdoor cafes in Fitzroy and on the Southbank river-front. We came for the Starwars Lego and enjoyed another exhibition at Melbourne Museum at discounted rates on the same day. We also loved the Free city circle tram, the SkyDeck at night; the Fox Car Collection and the Hellenic Museum; we loved the easy layout of Melbourne where there are lots of things to see within the FREE tram zone and/or on foot. Southbank/South Wharf has amazing eateries, and good coffee places area a dime a dozen! The best city, full of life and friendly people, great markets, shops and eateries to suit all tastes. The public transport system is one of the best, purchase a myki card and travel to your hearts content. Roscoe on St.Kilda Rd Melbourne, try and Im sure you will go back, great Italian cuisine.
