Meningie’s Waterfront Motel is located on the shores of Lake Albert, and offers stunning views over the water. It features a private boat jetty, free WiFi access and free off-street parking. The room was very cozy and clean, with a big window to enjoy the beauty of Lake Albert. We were passing by the area and needed a place to sleep and we couldn't have chosen a better spot.
Featuring air conditioning, Coorong Cabins offers accommodations 15 minutes' drive from Meningie and 21 minutes' drive from the center of Coorong. Free private parking is available on site. Great facilities, good check in experience, plenty of supplies provided (pantry items, bread, jams, eggs, vegies from garden), lots of other items available to use - backpacks, chairs, bug spray - you name it!
Set in Meningie in the South Australia region, Samphire: Coorong Accommodations has a terrace. The property features lake views. I travelled to the Coorong with my son and we had a wonderful stay. We were welcomed by the friendly hosts and had a fresh loaf of bread, bottle of wine and warm fire blazing on arrival. The property was comfortable and neatly presented. We were looking for an opportunity to relax and unwind and the location did not disappoint, offering opportunities to appreciate the beautiful scenery, explore the local attractions and experience nature at it's best. We had such a great time that we decided to stay an extra night and would have stayed longer if we could. We left with a long list of things that we need to do on our next trip.
I love the lake at sunset, the park is beautiful with great walking paths, the lookout and bush trail is a lovely quiet scenic walk. I enjoy the culture of the indigenous people I found them to be very kind and welcoming. The pub was excellent, good prices and friendly staff, great service. The bakery was just OK. One staff member was exceedingly rude and my daughter was denied service with her indigenous boyfriend! This was extremely disappointing in today’s age! Very disappointing indeed! They received service at the petrol station no problems Thankyou Sharheins.
We were there for work so did not do much else but take a walk around town and the lake. The lakeside walk was well maintained and quiet and peaceful. A lovely quiet town. But since I am not into fishing or boating I would probably not stay there for more than a day. The airstrip is perfect and it made our work a pleasure.
Meningie is a wonderful place with friendly people and lots to see and do. Bird life is prolific. The pelicans are a sight to see. The lakes are beautiful and must be kept as fresh water to preserve this age-old environment. The Coorong offers sand dunes and magnificent waterways for lots of water activities - but beware weather changes if on the water.
Meningie is a small town, but it does have a supermarket and a few shops - enough to keep you from starving ! Close to good walking spots. A nice area to get away and relax. Could be very warm in summer. Good spot for bird watching.
A one street town with a heart of gold. This limestone coast town has a recently renovated waterfront with a lot of the work, if not all, carried out by the local community. The town has a true community feeling with its RSL , Bowls club and Hotel. Well worth an overnight stay while exploring South Australia.
We came to Meningie to do the Parkrun = to do all the Volunteer positions. We are from Gawler Park Run Walk?Run Training Group. Meningie Parkrun is not well supported by the locals? So my group decided to help out.. We totally enjoyed our stay, and stayed over to run the Murraylands %K deadly run series on Sunday. We will return again soon... :)
