Our overnight stay was perfect. We found our apartment, unit 422, was clean and modern with added personsl touches like better than standard instant coffee, milk and cooking oil provided. Though we didn't have time, we would have enjoyed the array of board games provided. We have never stayed at an air bnb before and now would have no hesitations after our wonderful stay. This was a short break to the coast for us, only 1hr away from home, so we know the area quite well. It's beautiful. We went midweek, outside school holidays. Fewer people, no queues. The area gets very busy in school holidays. There's a lot of building work going on but it didn't impact us. Surprised to find a cafe on the Esplanade that was really good - Backstreet Cafe.

Try the one hour canal boat ride.

Try the one hour canal boat ride. Booze on board at a cost, lovely captain and deck hand, beautiful location. I would recommend. The beach is beautiful, lots of eating and drinking options as well as shops. The wharf also has bars and restaurants

Mooloolaba is the jewel of the Sunshine Coast.

Mooloolaba is the jewel of the Sunshine Coast. It has a spectacular beach, good shopping and restaurants and a great Surf Club. Tip: join the surf club for $5 and immediately get 10% off your drinks and 5% off food. It will pay for itself very quickly.

We did the river cruise with seafood lunch. Very good. Went to SeaLife. Very enjoyable. Beach was great. The pool and spa at the Motel was wonderful. The meals at the Pub were very good and reasonable.

Loved the area, close to the beach, restaurant and cafes. Great walking track into Maroochydore to experience the local life of surfing and competition. Short drive to Australia Zoo and loved the experience of Whale watching.

Right now (October 2025) the Mooloolabah beach by the surf...

Right now (October 2025) the Mooloolabah beach by the surf club is being subjected to earthworks to upgrade this area and its a mess. The work is progressing at a glacial pace and it has undone the serenity and looks like a work site (dah). Avoid this particular area if you can, though the beach is accessible and the water lovely right now. I spent a lot of money to get a place near the beach and if I was not super cool I'd be damn angry nobody told me when I booked. Disappointed!

Room 604 - two bedroom - two bathrooms. Excellent location, close to the Mooloolaba Surf Club to swim at the controlled beach and also for a meal. The view of the beach and the ocean is excellent from this room. After coming down the lift you can exit right onto the shopping strip on Mooloolaba Esplanade (near cnr of Brisbane Rd). The Sunrises were spectacular and we were able to spot a number of dolphins in the water not too far from shore.

Raffles is in a great location. The main beach in within 100m. Right across the road you have Handy Coles Supermarket and the Mooloolaba tavern, Liquor Store, Bakery. The Irish Pub across the road had great food as well. 5 Minutes walk to the Surf Club. Apartment was spacious, clean and well stocked (Tea, Coffee) with a comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the Small Heated Pool and Spa Pool. Free underground parking was handy for rental.

Nautilus is a good value resort that is well-located in Mooloolaba just off the Esplanade. The room was comfortable although is overdue for a refresh. I have previously stayed at Nautilus in a renovated room which was excellent. The car park is spacious and suitable for a large 4WD which is somewhat unusual for Mooloolaba. The managers are excellent. Overall, Nautilus is a good place to stay in Mooloolaba without breaking the bank.

The property was quite spacious with plenty of space in the living area. The kitchen was well equipped with appliances, cookware, utensils, tableware and glasses. Ensuite was good, and handy to have a separate bathroom from the kids. Pleasant walk to the beach and the main Mooloolaba esplanade.
