The cottage was so clean, we had everything we needed and felt very rested after our stay. Thanks to the hosts for such an easy and homely night away!

Tamborine Mountain is a lovely little surprise nestled in the mountains. There's lots of themed restaurants and takeaway options, as well as kooky hotels, motels and other accommodations. There are amazing views over the Gold Coast, with lots of lovely hikes and walks through the rainforest, eventually on the track you'll find your way to a serene waterfall. There are many art galleries and wineries, and there are numerous picture-perfect wedding venues you can potentially have your nuptials at. Every couple of weeks there are local markets. There is a Glow Worm Cave tour, where you can stroll down a man-made glow worm cave (cheap entry, and good enough to keep kids entertained for half an hour). Gallery Walk has a lot of little shops that are worth strolling through while you sip at a coffee from a nearby cafe. The townspeople can be a little bogan, but well, this is Australia after all. It's all part of the charm. Tamborine Mountain centre is actually a tiny area, and not hard to get around. But overall the mountain is large and there's plenty to see and do over the course of a long weekend.
Rainforest walks a plenty worth the option for some lookout points along the way. Curtis Falls is lovely and an easy to moderate walk on the rainforest floor. Witches Creek Falls is a more gradient walk - recommended for those who are a bit more confident walking on uneven ground. This was a more fulfilling walk for varied scenery starting in the treetops and descending into the forest and back again. The water fall can be underwhelming (if there’s a lack of rain) compared to the lookout itself, still a very satisfying walk. The times estimated on the maps are fairly accurate for moderate to active fitness levels. Gallery walk is the crowd-drawing attraction with local arts and produce on display in the boutique stores. Fortitude Brewing is also very popular with live music, easy food menu and great options for local cheese plates (porter cheese varieties are particularly indulgent). Excellent restaurant options all through the region with a very good degustation at Pethers Rainforest Retreat for a special occasion.
The location so beautuful just across the road ,the most glorious views..the surroundings were beautiful.. so handy to beautiful quaint shops did plenty of shopping ..and handy to all the number one dining..Wineries.
So many terrific walks in sections of the national park - well worth the visit. Be aware that most shops in the Gallery Walk close at 4pm, so you may find yourself with time to kill before heading to dinner.
Mount Tambourine is close to the other villages on the mountain, and also close to Canungra (providing the 'Goat Track' road is open). Scenery and clean air are our chief reasons for visiting. Be sure to take at least one of the walks when you visit the Mountain. The tourist shopping strip (Gallery Walk) is an interesting diversion. Put on your to-do list to check out the Cuckoo Clock Shop. Visit the distillery for tastings of flavoured gins and liqueurs.
Lovely cafes and restaurants locally Quaint villages shopping, parks etc. Beautiful mountain scenery and Botanical gardens locally. Friendly shop assistance and locals with excellent customer service experience.

Everything was just amazing, and way exceeded our expectations! We were lucky to get a room the same day, after we had a problem with our other accomodation for the night. But all that trouble turned out to be the best that could have happened to us! The cottage was beautiful and very private. The hosts did everything to make our stay wonderful and took their time to show us around, and gave us recommendations for nice walks and where to eat etc. The homemade breakfast basket in the morning was just splendid. We could have stayed forever. Will definitely recommend to everyone we know and we would love to come back next time we’re in Australia!

Large bottles of good quality toiletries to use. Heated rails to dry bath towels. Beautiful view of the garden from the private balcony outside our room and the dining area too. Location is convenient for food and walks. Highly recommended for a restful and refreshing experience.
