This 4.5-star, award-winning property is located opposite Olinda Village, at the top of the Dandenong Ranges. The Puffing Billy Railway and Yarra Valley’s wineries are 15 minutes' drive away. We love this property -we actually had to cancel this trip due to COVID 19 stage 4 Melbourne restrictions ,& look forward to staying at the LOFT later this year ! We have stayed at this property before and highly recommend it .
Set within the scenic Dandenong Ranges, The Gallery B&B Olinda is a romantic retreat nestled privately within a large garden. The accommodations offers a relaxing double spa. The property is absolutely stunning!! The gardens and the location of the property itself is absolutely magical especially when you wake up to beautiful fog over the garden. The hosts were wonderful and thought of every little detail - I loved the little tea jars with the hand written labels and the delicious fresh bread each morning made the stay even more perfect. Would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone who asks!!!
Breakfast is included at this heritage-listed B&B, featuring a day spa and set among beautiful English gardens in the scenic Dandenong Ranges. Free WiFi is provided. The full breakfast was amazing. Everything was provided for us to cook a delicious meal: eggs, bacon, muffins, orange juice & even the hollandaise sauce. Perfect location with a short stroll to a number of local shops & restaurants. Hosts were very helpful when we needed an extra heater.
Located in Olinda, a 5-minute walk from Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden, Cambridge Cottages provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. The tranquillity, homely, little extras like breakfast Basket very full and lasted the weekend. Sherry and chocolates. Cosy and comfortable.

Como Accommodations provides self-contained cottages featuring spacious lounge areas with a fireplace and heating, a well-equipped kitchen and a terrace. The cottage was very comfortable and cosy, it had everything we needed for a short stay. The breakfast was great as well - bread, milk, juice, cereal, yogurt, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc were all provided. Staff were lovely and helpful. The cottages are located a short walk from an IGA and bottle shop, pizza shop, etc.
Located a 1-hour drive from Melbourne, Olinda Country Cottages features 2 stand-alone cottages and 1 apartment-style 2-bedroom suite set in a 130 year-old, 1.5 acre garden. The cottage was absolutely amazing, it was so beautiful and cute. Just what we needed.
Set on 6 acres of native gardens, Gracehill Accommodations features colonial-style suites and cottages with a fireplace and spa bath. We stayed in the Homestead for two nights following our wedding. We couldn’t fault anything with the property. It was spacious with a beautiful garden & views and so much food! We would definitely stay again.
Located 15 minutes' walk from Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden in Olinda, Olinda Forest Retreat with Spa offers accommodations within a 10-minute walk from the restaurants, bars and pubs of Olinda. Vanessa met us at the door and showed us around - this was a great personal touch. The supplied breakfast was a real treat! Waffles with fruit, cream and maple syrup. Yum! The location is very isolated and tranquil, yet only a short walk to town to enjoy all the amazing food and crafts on offer. It's so amazing to have your own personal spa, which is very cleverly housed in a semi-detached room under the same roofline. The main suite is full of those little details that make all the difference. Vanessa has clearly put a lot of thought into what makes a place cozy and convenient. I really loved this place. Thanks very much Vanessa.
Couldn't visit gardens or national parks - most closed due to damage from wild weather - however, normally these are lovely to visit. The villages along the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road can get quite crowded on weekends, so if you can visit during the week, it will be more peaceful. there are plenty of food options around, including some good 'country pubs'.
The little cottage was perfect! From the long lasting hot water, to the soft pillows on the bed. Breakfast, books, incense, tv with netflix, chooks roaming the garden, kettle, microwave, couch, blankets, little deck with chairs and blankets, bug garden to roam and a stunning view from the rotunda & so much more! The Como supplied everything I could have wanted for my quiet weekend! The staff were amazing and I can't wait to head back soon x
It was nice wandering up the street and looking at all the shops. Our accommodation was within walking distance making for a very relaxed stay. A beautiful part of the world. We had dinner at the Pig & Whistle pub. A bit too far to walk on a cold night. We drove. Good English fare - great on a cold winter's afternoon or night.
Everything was brilliant. From food to friendly hosts. The setting was magic in large maintained gardens. Easy stroll to shops and bus. Close to Olinda and Mt Dandenong. Can only rate this as the best cottages i have stayed in.
Inside was ok considering time of arrival not prepared as requested earlier. Cosy inside and clean but outside was horrible and miss lead by photos on web. And rude after hour service for a first time visitor being lost and arrived late to be spoken to rudely over intercom and phone as website misleading guess of 24 hour service was not the case when arrived as chosen time given by web page 12.30am to 1.00am check in times ok by web page when booked to be told off rudely by a guy who answerd 24 hour phone service as said on web. Apparently web page was wrong wl should update not rudely speak to a first time guest who followed there booking web page not guess fault. Extremely disappointing how he spoke with sarcasm as well.
good cafes resturants and plenty of nice walks. l liked the antiquities shops and retro shops. The Indian resturant was excellent. There was a small italian deli at the bottom end of Olinda had great coffee and very friendly staff. A short drive to Mt Dandenong lookout with great views
The accomodation was set amongst beautiful tree ferns and tall trees, a perfect backdrop from an extra comfy bed. The spa was an extra treat, especially at sunset when the views were magnificent. Pancakes with fresh raspberries for breakfast was delicious. Very peaceful location. Our wonderful host Vanessa communicated at all times and made our stay comfortable with little extras ( dressing gowns, candles, slippers).
This cottage is magic! If you are wanting to feel immersed in the forest, look no further. The fire place was beautiful with more than enough supplies. The kitchen was well equiped for cooking a meal, also breakfast hamper was a nice touch. Bathroom was very clean also. Extra points for the extensive DVD collection which felt like a trip back to the early 2000s. Can’t wait to visit again.
Pretty much everything was 100% epic and awesome. Spa was great and the view was awesome. We even had 3 deer come up to our property at about 5pm. 2 possums chilled with us at night and the birds were incredible. 2 red Rosella birds even bowed at me from a tree within 3m of range just from me bowing at them!
I loved this place. We stayed in Mills Cottage which has a spa bath, a spiral staircase to a bedroom with a balcony and a four poster bed. The owner, Brett, built all the cottages himself and you can tell he put a lot of care into the small details that make the place so cool.
Location was excellent. Setting was very nice. Cottage was charming, but with a stylish, modern twist. We made use of the cast iron fire place, which created a cosy atmosphere. Had our little dog with us. We loved it.
We stayed in the Homestead for two nights following our wedding. We couldn’t fault anything with the property. It was spacious with a beautiful garden & views and so much food! We would definitely stay again.
The food and sparking wine were absolutely fabulous. Great location for our purpose and a lovely garden. Comfortable beds . We really enjoyed our stay and thought the Garden Retreat was excellent.
Cottage and breakfast supplies were great. A thoroughly cute cottage with everything we could possibly need for our stay in the wonderful Dandenongs. Price was great too thanks to my genius rating!
The location was fantastic. The facilities were beautiful. The breakfast provisions were exceptional. I will definitely choose Olinda Country cotrages on my next visit to Olinda.
We had a great time here and greatly recommend as it was great value for money, lovely owners and good location, Just outside of sassafras and olinda.
Beautiful clean room and comfortable bed. Location extremely central to Olinda. Very quiet. We were kindly upgraded by our host.
A few things I liked were: Location - walking distance from cafes, shops etc. Quaint cottage like feel of the place.
The decorations & the personal details the owner put into the house.
It was very cute and cozy. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing
