The breakfast was incredible, very generous portions and the room was fantastic. It was a good distance away from the other cottages but not to far away at the same time, perfect experience highly recommend!

We had the most lovely stay at Olinda Country Cottages. We felt so welcome by Kathy and Wally's very personal communication. No request we had was too hard. We arrived to an eclectic colourful garden out the front of our cottage filled with beautiful flowers and attracting some gorgeous wildlife which delighted our 3 year old. Parking was convenient. Kathy and Wally made sure the cottage was warm with a fire and heating going for our arrival. The family cottage not only fits a family but accommodates for one. The second bedroom had bunk beds and an array of different toys that our girls loved playing with including a rocking chair each suitable to their ages (8 months and 3 yo). We were also provided with a cot and high chair. We had forgotten story books but the cottage was equipped with a vast library both for education, stories for kids and adults alike. Entertainment in front of the fire was taken care of with wifi, DVDs and boardgames. Yay for less packing! They made our lives easier by providing milk, bread and a generous amount of breakfast options. Even went as far as to ask our preferences on these. Kitchen was really well equipped if you decided to cook. There was no shortage of towels, blankets, cushions or pillows to make for comfortable stay. It was in a great location for exploring Dandenong ranges, 10 mins to Sky High, 5 mins from Sassafras, walking distance to some restaurants and cafes and only couple min drive to more options in Olinda. Not far from puffing Billy etc and we even ventured out to Healesville which was an easy 40 min drive. Finally this was all for a super reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Comfortable bed it just rolls around you lose you pillows while you sleep. The wifi needs an extender or something because I had to use my phone wifi. So it's pricey for no wifi and a bed that rolls around everywhere.
Set on 20-acres of natural bushland in Mooroolbark, the Foothills Conference Center offers free on-site parking. Each room has gorgeous garden views, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels.

A great location, just a short drive from the other villages in the region.
Good restaurants were the Pig & Whistle and House of Fras, however our absolute favourite eating spot was Proserpina Bakehouse. The food in this bakehouse is exceptional! Arrive hungry and consider their chai tea (it's an amazing experience)!
Many easy walking tracks within a short drive, with excellent views of Melbourne.
Botanical Gardens is also worth a visit - we saw an echidna in the wild here.

We loved the shops in Olinda and Sassafras just down the road. Easy walking, sitting in the sun at Dudley’s having a wine was relaxing. The trees and the beautiful Dandenong botanical gardens were amazing. It is like a little haven just out of Melbourne, all the people working in shops are so friendly it is just such an awesome little town.
Because it is so incredible it is getting really busy on weekends.

The townships of Sassafras and Olinda offer many quirky and artistic shopping and dining experiences. Alternatively you can have a typical aussie bush experience. The many massive gardens in the area are a must. The Alfred Nicholas Gardens are great any time and the Botanic gardens rhododendrens are sensational in season. The area along the Tourist road and out to Kallista is beautiful.
I highly recommend a visit to this area.

The place was picked by the photos and they were out if date . The spa wasn't the same as the picture. And my wife is a invalid so the spa was very difficult to use for her as the height was very dangerous. It clearly isn't the photo which was advertised. Also there was no area for standing outside if it rained no cover at all. Also very noisy being down stairs can hear constant noises. The breakfast was good and the place is warm. It's clean but it's less then the pictures are discibing .

Excellent location only 150m walk from the Mt Dandenong Hotel and Kellys Bistro and other shops. Well stocked breakfast items and true double spa bath. Plenty of heating options for cold nights. Small balcony with table and chairs providing views over the city lights. Nice rustic garden setting with some little quirky features. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Off street parking provided.
Everything about the cottage was sensational, the secret attic was the cutest.
The host herself was very kind, friendly and very generous in making our stay unforgettable.
We will return to this lovely cottage and for a longer stay. Couldn't get enough of the natural beauty surroundings and its become our most favorite place in the beautiful dandenong ranges.
We have stayed in another of Como Cottages apartments, it was delightful
Everything was perfect this time too.
So many thoughtful touches from electric blankets, fresh firewood daily, top quality breakfast ingredients and even Netflix.
We were so so happy there and will return !
Beautiful accommodation and hosts. The cottage was private in beautiful surrounds, amenities and comfort was exceptional, spa ample size for two. Every little detail was taken care of and would highly recommend this accommodation. Thankyou Rhonda and Mark for your hospitality.
the Location in Olinda so close to shops and most other attractions in the Dandenongs is fantastic and the breakfast was plenty with a huge variety of things to choose from. We absolutely loved our 2 night stay.
