I had an incredible stay at the cottage! The station welcomed me warmly and gave me a thorough tour of the facilities. The check-in process was smooth, and the cottage itself was beautifully designed and spotless. The spa was a personal favorite, offering a relaxing experience. Quaint little cottage with pretty backyard and bonus little empty studio space for an impromptu yoga session or some interpretive dancing. Easy check-in and good communication from hosts. Cosy interior, close to the township of Olinda, and an easy walk to the beautiful botanical gardens. Good for a two person stay when you require a bedroom each. Afforded privacy and was peaceful and comfortable for a one night stay.

    We had a beautiful stay at Forest Cottage — peaceful, cozy, and everything we needed. Jessica was a lovely and attentive host. The breakfast supplies were generous, the bed incredibly comfy, and we loved the fireplace (with all firewood provided!). The area around the cottage offers plenty of options for hiking, cycling, scenic lookouts, and reconnecting with nature. Everything was clean, well maintained, and full of thoughtful details — from a delicious house-made liqueur to a well-stocked minibar. We would absolutely come back!

    Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit.

    Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit. My husband and I had dinner at King Henry’s Restaurant which was close by and had a lovely family lunch at The Pig & Whistle Tavern which was also very close to our accommodation. Also close to The Botanic Gardens and SkyHigh restaurant and lookout. Fabulous.

    Olinda is in a beautiful, forested setting dominated by huge Montain ash trees. It is well served by cafes, restaurants, gift shops and pubs. The Mount Dandenong Botanical Gardens is located in Olinda and recommended to any garden lover.

    Loved the SkyHigh observatory and Cloudhill gardens - and the botanic garden- plus the Olinda Tea house was excellent. Central location to visit all the gardens scattered around Olinda and areas of interest- loved sassafras which like Olinda had some unique stores - highly recommend Olinda as a central spot to allow one to explore this gorgeous area :) Lots of things to do for varied interests such as trails and even visiting Puffing Billy in Emerald - and Kallista Tea house plus much more :)

    A great location, just a short drive from the other villages...

    A great location, just a short drive from the other villages in the region. Good restaurants were the Pig & Whistle and House of Fras, however our absolute favourite eating spot was Proserpina Bakehouse. The food in this bakehouse is exceptional! Arrive hungry and consider their chai tea (it's an amazing experience)! Many easy walking tracks within a short drive, with excellent views of Melbourne. Botanical Gardens is also worth a visit - we saw an echidna in the wild here.

    Olinda is just beautiful the shops cafes scenery brilliant Sky High look out is amazing and RJ Hamer Arboretum is a must see. We did venture into Sassafras for lunch each day the food was absolutely delicious highly Recommend Miss Marples , Sassafras Cafe and Fortnums

    Quaint and charming cottage with a modern kitchenette. Very comfy bed/furniture. Lovely peaceful setting, huge windows that make you feel at one with the natural surroundings. Spa bath is thoughtfully placed as a separate but attached room. Fridge stocked with complementary goodies like coffee, milk, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, juice, cheese. It really was lovely and we had a great relaxing time in what almost seemed like the middle of nowhere, but only 600 metres from the Olinda shops.

    There are not enough words to describe how perfect our stay was! The cottage was splendid, very clean, cozy and comfortable and Karen and Tamara were so lovely to have some music and the fire going for our arrival. This was the perfect little romantic getaway. The location is also so close to shops/cafes but it feels like you’re worlds away in your own space. It was very quiet and serene. We will definitely be making this an annual getaway!

    The room was interesting, building looks very old but told it is only 40 years old. Lovely lady met us and helped with luggage. We stayed in Victorian Room, has comfy bed, nice bathroom. The Wifi didn't work in the room, was ok outside but drops out when inside. Price included cereals, milk, bread for toast etc. Juices.
