Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.
KINGS PARK is the most beautiful park. Sir Lord John Forrest had a vision when he kept that land aside for the pleasure of the community. overlooking the city, it has stunning views or the river, city, and the trees lit at night and the memorial, it is certtainly a glorious place. the mountway where we stayed has free bus so close, took us to town. Elizabeth quays has wonderful cafes, and views , plus quick walk to the ferry to the south perth area and zoo. just a wonderful place. very laid back and friendly. shops were excellent too, needed more time to explore.

Perth is a small city, but yet offers a lot of places to see and experiences to enjoy. Most of them can be done by walk from the city centre.
Kings Park, Bell Tower, Mint, Elizabeth Quay are within walking distance. Heirisson Island, Fremantle Prison, Perth Zoo, Matagarup Bridge can be reached by bus/train. The only downside of Perth is that most shopping places and tourist attractions wind up by 5pm. Most restaurants also close by 10pm. But its a delightful city and has to be visited

Scarborough beach- The sand was so soft and was lots of space for everyone but did find abit of rubbish on the beach, a sign would of been very helpful to say there is a drop off near the waters edge as I had to jump in with my clothes on to save my daughter from drowning was very very scary, as it was our first time here and didn’t know this, a sign would of been very helpful for us and to prevent this in the future for others.

After not visiting for 30 years, I was pleasantly surprised by how well Perth has grown up.
Busier than it was before, of course, but not so busy that I wanted to leave straight away, like a lot of cities I visit.
Generally cleaner than most Australian cities, easier to get around without a car.
People ( with a few unfortunate and glaring exceptions) were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Green spaces abound, and there were enough attractions to keep us busy, without being overwhelmed.
Great dining choices right across the spectrum from cheap and cheerful to cordon bleu. Check out Alfred's Pizzeria for delightful pizza, great beer.
Capped off with glorious white sand beaches, and crystal clear ocean water.

Perth city is lovely and laid back.
Perth city is lovely and laid back. There is a lot of run down parts of the city but if you stick to the main malls and the jetty area you would be ok. WA coast is phenomenal and I highly recommend seeing the coastal suburb of Cottesloe and venturing out to Rottnest Island.
I would like to come back and see the whole WA coast from Broome down to Esperance
The best thing about the Pagoda is the price; a spacious 2 bedroom apartment is much more affordable than a comparably sized hotel room in the city. We had a car so still easy to get to and explore Perth CBD/Northbridge which is relatively close.
The staff in the hotel restaurant at breakfast-time were gracious and patient.
The suburb where the hotel is located is pleasant for exploring (IMO).
The free street parking for your car is great.
What I like the most of this hotel was super friendly and helpful staff!
We needed to go to the Convention Centre, so the hotel was located just behind the centre. But it was still very close the city centre and Perth stations (both train and undergrand stations). It was also easy to walk to Elizabeth Quay and even to King's Park! You will enjoy the nice moring and evening walk to both places!
Friendly staff, great location even for commute to Perth.
My room was decent size, lots of storage.
As I was staying for a long time the hotel even brought a microwave and toaster into my room in case I needed to use it.
Hotel maintenance is very quick to respond in case anything needs fixing.
My room was on the opposite side of the bar so it was quiet at night.
For once the pictures online matched the hotel room itself! Staff very friendly & helpful. Clean, modern & had a comfy bed. Plenty of public transport & places to eat. A short stroll to the Perth city mall. Short walk to Perth Bus Port & train station which will take you to major shopping centres & the beach. over all a fabulous stay. will return for sure!
Have used Quest apartments a few times now, the Ascot one twice. Rooms are always spotlessly clean, beds are comfy and large. Staff at the front desk (24hr reception) are always so polite, helpful & accommodating.
Mainly stay here due to it's location to the airport, but will continue to use due to the exceptional staff and quality room and facilities.
spacious apartment; large balcony; two bathrooms: perfect for family with three children. Short walk to the beach front. Bus stop immediately at the hotel; Supermarket and Restaurants, Cafés nearby. perfect bus service to Perth City or nearest train station each ~10 minutes during daytime; each 30 minutes later in the evening until midnight.
This is the second time staying at this hotel, hotel is located right in the middle of CBD on Murray street, close to shopping mall, restaurant, Bus/train station most importantly the free CAT service just right in front of the hotel. Breakfast is delicious even though very limited choice & slightly overpriced at $38 per person.
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful to all guests. They remembered my name and made me feel like an important guest.
The hotel was neat and tidy, with easy access to the airport and one of Perth's main highways.
My stay at Sanno Marracoonda was the highlight of an otherwise very difficult trip.
This property is so central to all the must see iconic Perth locations. An easy walk to the Waterfront precinct, the CBD and Kings Park. They offered free parking which is so rare at city hotels. The fully self contained apartments were clean and very comfortable. You could easily stay a week or more.
the bed the bed the bed~ best in Perth hotels thank you
Disability shower with seat and rails was brilliant - only one in Perth that gets it - disability, needs room to move and use wheelchair or aids
Princess and the Pea scenario for me so it was wonderfully comfortable
This hotel is very well located, specially if you are visiting the convention center, only a 2 minute walk.
Its 10 to 15 minutes away from CBD and only 10 minutes away from the WOOLWORTHS at St. Georges Terrace.
The rooms are quite comfortable. The bathroom is huge.
We liked the location. We could reach the center of Perth by feet in just 10 minutes. Or take the free CAT bus to get around. The stop is just in front of the hotel.
We had a big room with wide and comfortable beds.
Quay Perth is 5 stars all round ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location, value, hotel service, hotel dining, staff, views and room just exceptional! We loved it all! Thank you for this unforgettable experience Quay Perth 💯⭐️✨
Conveniently positioned close to Perth CBD. As we were staying a week we wanted space to live and the self contained apartment gave us the space with the convenience of a washing machine.
Receptionist, Rachel, was very obliging and could not be faulted.
The downstairs Bistro - very good.
Wanted to book a hotel in close proximity to Perth airport and yes, it was.
