Great location although not staffed 24/7 you can get access after hours instructions are given. Good size rooms, off street parking 1.8m restrictions and tight, would struggle to get a 4x4 in the carpark.

We got a bigger room than the one we booked, beds were super comfortable. The staffs are so nice! Only a few minutes walk away from supermarket and 4 Miles Beach. Lots of juices available at breakfast. Basic toiletries provided.

Situated in Port Douglas, 500 metres from Four Mile Beach, Dougies Backpackers Resort features accommodation with a bar, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. The staff were incredible and so approachable. When I first checked in, one of the staff members showed me around and let me choose my own room. I wanted to go diving/snorkelling and so she recommended a couple of tours that would suit me best. Bartenders are legends and always keen for a good laugh. Super clean amenities, and overall great vibe at the hostel. Most guests are on the same wavelength and so it’s easy to get along with everyone. Clean kitchen too! Ended up spending 5 nights instead of 2.

Apartment was very family friendly, very spacious and allowed tonnes of space for our kids. Pool area is fantastic and wasn't crowded at all during our stay, there were plenty of times where we had it all to ourselves. 100% we will be back!

Comfortable beds, a/c worked great.

The pools were lovely with the choice of two and they were heated so that was a bonus because even though it was 26 degrees everyday, a non heated pool is still a bit chilly.
