Once the internal water issue was resolved 24 hours after arrival, the stay was wonderful. Perfect location next to great walks and wildlife, peace and quiet with everything we needed. Luckily the toilet was on a different pipeline so that worked the whole time and we had access to water from an outside tap.

Quorn is a beautifully kept country town with some fabulous rail history with helpful and welcoming locals. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the tenacontinental as well as breakfast at the quandong cafe. Looking forward to passing through this gem of a town again

A quiet, neat and clean country town. Perfect location for exploring the Flinders Ranges. Pichi Richi railway is excellent. Dining out venues in Quorn are limited, but it is only 35 minutes to Port Augusta by car where there are many eating options.

Such history and very good Silo Light Show.

Such history and very good Silo Light Show. We should have stayed another night and visited the next town up , Hawker and visited the jeff Morgan Gallery . What a mistake we made!!! The Transcontinental Pub was also outstanding for dinner . We had the Beef Stew with mash. Simply the best . Great example of an outback Aussie pub with some fascinating locals.

A town that has survived and thrived against all the odds!

A town that has survived and thrived against all the odds! Several friends had recommended visiting the town again to view the new silo projections at night. It was a great show and highlighted the town's amazing history. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

Plan you trip around the Pichi Richi Railway operating days, the trip to Woolshed Flat is great. For an extra special occasion, check to see when the "Coffee Pot" is operating along the Pichi Richi Railway, it is a unique experience with three course lunch served at Woolshed Flat. Other local attractions include Flinders Gin, locally produced Gin, the local flavor to try is Quandong. The local Restaurants, Cafe's and Hotels all offer traditional, country hospitality.

Quorn is a really nice town and has the bonus of being the base for the Pichi Richi Railway. Had breakfast at the Quandong Cafe, great food. The IGA supermarket has got nearly everything one wants too. Quorn’s streets are wide and there is plenty of room to park. The pubs do a good trade too. Its a great base for all the walking trails, gorge visits and 4W driving, and has a great caravan park too.

Large sunny very comfortable apartment in the delightful Quorn. Sally went out of her way to welcome us and provide access to a laundry. Loved the very large bathroom, comfortable bed and fitted sheets (big bonus for having fitted sheets). Kitchenette had everything needed (excepted a wooden spoon and sharp knife) to put together a meal. Easy walk to Silo show, railway, Flinders Gin and Michies Kitchen (which serves really great Japanese food). Will definitely stay again if planning to hike Wilpena Pound, Warren Gorge or Alligator Gorge.

The house was in a good location for Quorn town cantre & Pichi Richi Railway - short 15 min walk away. The house was very clean, spacious, and with a very well equipped kitchen. Big garden wirh BBQ (& timrams in the fridge!) We managed to lock ourselves out one day, and the owners were immediately responsive & advised us how to access a spare key.

Clarinda was an excellent host. She was warm and friendly and eager to please. Clarinda gave us an excellent tour of the place, pointing out key features and how to find things. She also told us about the town, Quorn, where best to eat and how to best enjoy the silo light show. The bed was super comfortable. Clarinda's dog, Zeus, was a joy.
