This property offers a choice of three self-contained cottages, one located at Godfrey's Beach and two located in the heart of Stanley. Greeted by the host on arrival, very welcoming. They had provided little extras for us including a cheese platter, which was appreciated. A vase of flowers on the table, nice touch. There was wine and beer in the fridge , to purchase, but we found this to be a great idea, even though we didn't use it. Very cosy little place with great views.

Great nature attractions, from walk to The Nut, enjoying the beach to free penguins watch after dark. Stanley is a 'must do' in Tasmania road trip. I stayed only one night before continue trip to Strahan which was too short. Recommended accommodation: Stanley Village waterfront.
A visit to The Nut a must A must see Highfield House for history of the area etc . If your accommodation does not have a restaurant make a booking elsewhere. We are at Stanley Hotel, was excellent but very popular .
Beautiful little town. Quaint little shops and cafes. Great pub with excellent bistro. Close to “the nut” and watching the little penguins. Close to the Tarkine loop which is a great day trip to take. Three days there was only just enough. 😄
Everyone around town was friendly, polite and helpful. The Nut is a local attraction not to be missed (and once up) offers a plesant, leisurely walk with excellent views. Down below, there are several food options, little galleries, speciality shops and a wine bar.
Very quiet town with some shops etc. closing early (especially mid week). Dinner options that we tried (Stanley Hotel Bistro and Hursey Seafood) were very good. Highly recommend the crayfish at Hursey's. All are in easy walking distance. We climbed the Nut and whilst the path was concreted to the top it was very steep so be careful on the way down. Highly recommend watching the penguins from the Godfrey's beach platform as they come in after sunset. If you walk on the way back you will see lots of wildlife that come out after dark. We also drove the Tarkine loop one day from Stanley and highly recommend the drive if this interests you.
Stanley is a stunningly beautiful place. Lovely quaint houses are sheltered under the NUT. The Nut is fun to climb or you can take the chairlift and the views are stunning. We walked up and down and did the 2k walk around the Nut it was beautiful. Food was superb everything wonderful it is a must to visit. We had dinner at the Hursey Seafood Restaurant it was superb and breakfast at Touchwood Cottages Cafe it also was amazing.

Charlotte and Don are great hosts and their place is wonderful. The history behind this establishment is also very interesting. Unfortunately, we only booked for one night and we would have loved to stay another, such is the demand for this lovely property. We ate locally in the evening in the Stanley Hotel and enjoyed the superb breakfast supplied by Charlotte and Don the next morning. We would recommend a minimum of two nights here if you are travelling around Tasmania. Mike & Alex
Good location overlooking the waterfront. Easy walk to pubs, restaurants, cafe's and the NUT chairlift. Be sure to check out the Tasmanian Food and Wine bar - very eccentric. Breakfast provided was nice and simple - toast, cereals, yogurts, etc. Cooked break was available at an extra cost. Check in and out was very easy and owners were available if needed.

An escape to the remote Tassie is well represented with Stanley Seaview Inn: not in the city but just 2kms away, not a fancy premise but an old but gold accommodation, not the resorts but a very traditional regional experience. And as a bonus, the emotion of waking up and having your cup of coffee right on the balcony staring at The Nut: priceless!
Stanley
