Located in the heart of Stanley, Ellie’s Cottages are just 820 feet from beautiful Godfrey's Beach, and the local cafes, breakfast bars, restaurants and shops are all within 1640 feet away. The owners of Ellie's cottage make such a difference to your stay. Little things like vase of fresh flowers, chocolates and bowl with fruit. So unexpected. Loved it loved it.

We stayed in the Stanley Seaview Inn for one night. The accommodation offered beautiful views out across to the Ocean and the Nut. Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. The staff were warm and friendly and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay Dinner was at Hursey Seafood where we enjoyed Tasmanian lobster. Food was great and the service was good Unfortunately, on the morning we climbed the Nut (some by foot, some by cable car), there was quite a heavy fog which obscured the view out over the ocean. However, there is still a lovely walk around the top of this landmark with plenty of information to read and lots of wildlife to experience We also took in the Highfield Historic Site which is located high above Stanley. The restored home is beautifully lit up over night and is a wonderful landmark for the town. Well worth a visit, and the money of admission goes toward upkeep and further restoration work Undoubtedly, the highlight of our visit was watching the arrival of the penguins onto the beach at Kings Park. This attraction can be a bit hit or miss dependent on the cooperation of the penguins, but we were fortunate and treated to dozens of the creatures arriving at the beach around 9.00pm and entertaining us for over half an hour.
Was not a stressful trip to Stanley. The scenery was beautiful. Great food with cafes and restaurants. Was like stepping back in time and very clean and well maintained. Lots of places to visit e.g. Dip Falls, Blue Hills Honey (Mawbanna) and the "Edge of the World". Was well worth the drive and stay.
Quaint town full of character. We went to Hurseys Seafood and the Stanley Hotel both were very good. The town is very easy to walk around . Moby Dicks is a great cafe for breakfast with great service and quality food that tastes good. We also travelled to Arthurs River to do the full day cruise on the Reflection. A wonderful experience,. The cable car journey up to the Nut certainly saves time and it is a fairly easy walk around at the top.
Charming little town with a friendly population, beaches, of course The Nut, which has a chairlift (doesn't operate in high winds) or you can walk the trail to the top for sensational views. The Stanley Hotel serves good food, although not a huge menu.
Loved everything about our stay at Stanley. We had a delicious meal in the Stanley Hotel Bistro- staff there were so professional and friendly. Food was clearly prepared by highly qualified chefs. We will definitely return soon.
We visit Stanley as often as we can and love it. We climbed The Nut and went to Highfield House, toured the area and had meals at local cafes and at the Hotel. Everything is very accessible. A magnificent small historic jewel of a town!
Lakeside Spa Cabins is absolutely adorable, such a beautiful sweet cottage nestled right by a lake . It was 5 min out of the Stanley town. The cottage was warm cozy and very clean as to wear the surrounding gardens. The managers were so lovely . I'll be back again definitely next year with the rest of the family . 5 stars from me.
😊nice Host, clean , easy to found the location. Near the house walk distance to have cafe , local supermarket. 3 rooms, 2 double bed room, 1 twins room. You can”t sleep over, because the curtains is white color when sun rise , whole the bedroom very shiny
Shower was great- very relaxing. A good location and access to everything, the hosts were greatly accomodating and the continental breakfast in the morning was delicious. A very comfortable place to stay, to visit Stanley and its surrounds.
Located within walking distance to restaurants and hotel. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Great view from balcony. Alana made us feel very welcome and Matt was very helpful in pointing out places to visit during our stay.
The location was amazing. The place was comfortable and cute! We could not have been happier and will definitely book again if going to Stanley. Host was lovely and thoughtful.
A lovely cottage with everything you needed ! We had a beautiful time in Stanley and I would recommend Ellie’s Cottage for your stay ! Thanks Ellie
Fantastic location in historic Stanley. Very well appointed room. Reasonable Wifi. Parking on site. Beautiful lounge area with internal garden.
Lovely bed and shower facilities; delightful hosts. Location is good but without any view - very handy to the Stanley Hotel though.
I love the Stanley Hotel balcony to your room overlooking the whole town, central, character, everything you need there, views.
Location - right on the water front, but easy walking to the centre of the village centre for meals.
A perfect location and our favourite house from our Tasmanian family holiday.
site was good, close to village good parking
it's near the Nut and chairlift.
Breathtaking views, bed was like grandmas so big and comfy, very clean facilities. Spa was amazing plus Breakfast included and Mini bar facilities available with everything you can think of. Don't even have to leave the apartment if you didn't want to.
Lovely lady looking after the place while the owners were away. She was awesome, very helpful, lovely to talk to and went out of her way to make sure we were happy. The room was great. Bed was comfy, bathroom great. VEIW AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
