Clean, spacious room with stunning views. Bathroom has a large deep bath and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the location it was quiet and relaxing. We loved the spa bath, walking around the grounds and feeding the fish.
Offering free basic continental breakfast and free street and private parking, Ship Inn Stanley is located next to the beautiful Nut State Reserve. Our stay here was perfect. The detail in the room was amazing. Everything was comfortable and clean. Loved the breakfast with the local produce. Close to everything to walk. Would definitely stay again!
Loved Stanley, very pretty village to walk around, excellent hotel for meals and drinks. Other great options for breakfast and dinner. Fantastic wine bar and several small specialty shops. Great location for doing the Tarkine Drive, Dip Fall and so many short walks. We had an amazing time and will return as there was so much to do in the area.
Stanley is a gorgeous town. To be fully honest there isn't a great deal to do there, but i wasn't up for an action packed stay so there may be far more going on than I realize. I was happy with its serenity and beauty. Apparently penguins come to visit the shore at night in a certain spot. The nut chair lift was closed when i was there (It closes during a certain time of year - I went in late June 22). The nut cafe does the BEST scallop pie. Apparently the best breakfasts in town are at a cafe called Moby Dick (according to two different locals). The Stanley hotel does great dinners (as also recommended by a local) as it also has a nice ambience. I support this as I ate dinner and loved it. I ordered the pumpkin gnocchi. I had a hire car but the main street and local surrounds aren't too hard on the heart if you want to walk.
If you love a small, historic seaside village you will enjoy Stanley. It is also a great jumping off point for exploring the North West, driving to Arthur River, The Edge of the World, The Tarkine Drive.
The reception people were so welcoming and genuine, the property has incredible views and is very convenient to all amenities. Very quiet location and the room was warm when we arrived, very special on a particularly cold day. The lounge bar was a bonus cosy chairs and what spectacular views. Really sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
Great nature attractions, from walk to The Nut, enjoying the beach to free penguins watch after dark. Stanley is a 'must do' in Tasmania road trip. I stayed only one night before continue trip to Strahan which was too short. Recommended accommodation: Stanley Village waterfront.
A visit to The Nut a must A must see Highfield House for history of the area etc . If your accommodation does not have a restaurant make a booking elsewhere. We are at Stanley Hotel, was excellent but very popular .
The renovated room was part of the historic Stanley Hotel. The bed was comfortable, with a good bathroom and all expected amenities of a very good standard. Although the hotel is on the main street and there is a bar on site, Stanley in March was quiet and scenic. The on site restaurant is excellent, especially for seafood and very popular, with reservations recommended. The hotel does not serve breakfast but the nearby "Moby Dick" breakfast bar was excellent. There is on site parking
Charlotte and Don are great hosts and their place is wonderful. The history behind this establishment is also very interesting. Unfortunately, we only booked for one night and we would have loved to stay another, such is the demand for this lovely property. We ate locally in the evening in the Stanley Hotel and enjoyed the superb breakfast supplied by Charlotte and Don the next morning. We would recommend a minimum of two nights here if you are travelling around Tasmania. Mike & Alex
We stayed in Sea Salt House for two nights. Beautifully comfortable bed with luxurious linens. Exceptionally close to the shops (highly recommend Stanley Hotel and the Providore), and a short walk to the Nut. Although the house could do with a bit of a spring clean, we loved staying here.
Such a luxury place to stay. Loved our time staying at Noah's Stanley and would definitely stay there again. Loved the heated floors and heated towel rails in the ensuite. Very nicely decorated with the owners putting a lot of thought into accommodating their guests.
Located in the heart of Stanley so very easy to access hotel, cafes and restaurants. Host was very informative about things to do and see in the area and provided a great history of the venue ahead of our arrival.
Everything about this property was above and beyond expectations. View was great, property was clean, modern and very comfortable. I recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Stanley for value and comfort.
A most memorable part of our trip to Tasmania. Friendly hosts, extremely comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Cafe and gift shop attached--what more could one want!
Very close / walking distance to Stanley main street and The Nut (landmark), direct access to the beach front, good camp kitchen for extra space
Fantastic location in historic Stanley. Very well appointed room. Reasonable Wifi. Parking on site. Beautiful lounge area with internal garden.
Location - right on the water front, but easy walking to the centre of the village centre for meals.
Location, looking over the beach and being near very good restaurants and shops
Could not fault the Seaview Inn.
The house is adorable and well renovated with great cooking facilities and kitchenware. The location is ideal for sunset viewing and the rooms are comfortable and homely.
