The location was perfect for visiting the Nut, and viewing the penguins at night. A quieter area but close to everything, easy walking. Loved the style of accommodation. Clean , comfortable and so relaxing. We stayed 2 nights, and we loved Stanley.

The location was very central to the main street containing the shops and eateries. A short walk to The Nut. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The ensuite was also of a very high standard with a large shower. The continental breakfast was laid out in the owners kitchen and had a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread and conserves. Rhonda was a welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly stay there again when in Stanley.

Beautiful location; we loved the special look of the gardens. The room was comfortable and very welcoming. The healthy breakfast was fabulous. We also appreciated and enjoyed the use of the bicycles.

Stanley is a one of the safest places we have ever visited, streets are quite and safe to walk about all night. We enjoyed the Nut and chair lift, the 2 klm walk accros the perimeter of it top. Just under the nut is an exellent viewing platform for viewing penguins as they return at dusk and well into the night. We stayed at the Angel's Airsle Cottage & cafe, this place is well within walking distance from Nut and penguins. Stanley really needs more than just one day to enjoy and see all it has to offer. There is an historical homestead with all its features and servents living areas, convict history and gardens this is a short drive away but worth it

Great little pretty village with lots of historical cottages, excellent pub meal & wine bar across the road. Lovely place to walk around and venture up the Nut, an old extinct volcano, by chair lift or walking track

We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor unit - just great, the view was wonderful , just great to sit and watch the waves and the changing seascape. The room was very clean and everything we needed albeit a few larger plates and cutlery would have been helpful. The bed super comfy, electric blanket and plenty to keep us warm. The bathroom very clean although an older style the shower in the bath a danger.’ Stanley is an interesting area good little shops but the winner the seafood ship with a great seafood restaurant above - don’t miss it! A great place to stay.

The Nut is a must visit.

The Nut is a must visit. Be prepared for a 2Km walk to see all its features. We got caught in the rain so it wasn't pleasant. The hotel and Hurseys provided good meals. The weather can be brutal and curtail some activities - be prepared or time your holiday with temperate conditions.

The town is beautiful with many lovingly restored old houses. We were not expecting such an attractive place. The walk around the nut was good too, especially the views of course. Another highlight was seeing bumble bees enjoying the onion weed. We don't have them in Victoria. We highly recommend the cafe below the nut.

Well worth doing The Nut and the local restaurant Hursey's was a treat..... nice self guided tour of the historical town. Its also a pleasant drive to Stanley from Launceston with a lot of coast roads.

The best accommodation we had in Tasmania in 4 weeks. So big and clean, furnished with taste and style. The view onto the Nut was just amazing at any time of the day or at night. The beach is just a short walk away. Andrea and Daniel are ☆☆☆☆☆ hosts. They had put a bottle of wine and some Tim Tams on the table to welcome us. They asked if everything was ok for us and answered one of our questions in a very short time. Thx a lot for having us as your guests.

The location was superb, overlooking the waterfront but still close to the restaurants and shops. The house was beautiful with everything we needed. Maybe supply some little soap dishes so the soap doesn’t have to sit on the bench. Stanley is a lovely little village.

Lots of room in the flat, great location just outside Stanley, right on the water with a beach view from our room. Lots of little wallabies roaming around at night. Very helpful host. Probably our favourite place we have stayed in Tasmania so far and excellent value.
