It's an amazing city with the history, including old buildings. Definitely visit The Rocks. Lots of museums, Sydney Eye Tower, Sea Life, Wild World & the Wax Works, Chinatown - & the list goes on. The harbour is beautiful & ferry rides are great. Watch out for the sea gulls at the beaches, especially if you are trying to eat fish & chips!! They are vicious!!! Public transport is quick & easy. However, I wouldn't like to live there - too many people, too many steep walking footpaths from Circular Quay & anywhere else in the city, many high high-rise buildings, but it's still a wonderful city to visit. Sydney is such a wonderful city. Clean and so much to do. People are friendly (for a large city) and the public transport is fabulous. I travelled with my son (12 years old) and we had a fantastic time. We love Sydney and visit once a year for a 3 night stay. We always visit the fish market and the Gallery of NSW and then see if we can discover new places to visit and restaurants to try. The public transport system is fabulous and from the moment we step off the plane, we can easily get to wherever we choose. We especially love a few cruises on the ferries and made the most of the beautiful weather this weekend.
