Pethers Rainforest Retreat is an adults-only property located in Mount Tamborine and offers a restaurant, a bar and a garden. Loved the room. Fireplace was amazing and so was the sunken bath. Peaceful. Staff were very nice. The room was enormous. Just wish we could have stayed longer

We found it confusing to find our way around between Tamborine, Tamborine Mountain, Tamborine North, North Tamborine, Tamborine South and Tamborine Village. Otherwise we enjoyed our one day on the mountain.

Bearded Dragon Hotel and restaurant was a great venue to stay and enjoy. Curtis Falls provided a nice walk for a family with a little child and the teenage boys also enjoyed it as well. Glow Worm Cave was also an interesting outing for all the family-very well presented. George of Parragon Restaurant was a very nice restaurant on Gallery Walk for dinner-this was fortunate as there was no other restaurant open-usually the yummy Indian restaurant, Masala Shanti, IS open but sadly the owners were away on a much needed holiday...

It’s a good 40 minute drive from the Gold Coast but worth the trip if you’re not already heading to Mt Tamborine. Beautiful setting and the rooms are clean and pretty. Restaurant serves nice meals and kids meals come with free drink and ice block. There’s a children’s playgroung and a large outdoor dining area = kids can run and play while you relax. Staff are friendly and meals quick. I saw that they do a reptile shows most days and have alpaca that you can visit and feed (we arrived late so missed all of this). The bar and restaurant is rustic farmhouse cute with lots of interesting old things to look at and that staff are friendly. Breakfast only Saturday and Sunday from what I read. We stayed Easter Sunday and woke Easter Public holiday Monday to find that there was no breakfast. We would have stayed for breakfast and spent longer there but left early to find some food. Overall very happy with our stay and will return when next in the area.

We parked our car in the morning and went for breakfast.
We parked our car in the morning and went for breakfast. Decided to do some walks and ended up walking all around town stopping in at the wineries, shops etc. along the way. My faviourite was definitely the brewery and cheese factory where we stopped for lunch and drinks.
