Location, location, location: We had looked for a combination of hotel and winery in walking distance to each other, and this one ticked all the boxes: you can easily walk over to Chateau Tanunda in about 15mins (and others are walkable too, if you don't mind walking 30-40mins). The hotel is part of a pub/restaurant - but the rooms are really surprising: completely new, with a rain shower, quite spacious and quiet (this being a Monday maybe, could be louder on a Friday evening). We also enjoyed the restaurant and a glass of wine on the front porch. There's ample parking in the back. Didn't see any breakfast options, but this was rare on our trip anyways - there's a bakery nearby to help you out.

This large, one-bedroom apartment was updated to a high-level design with great functionality. It lives like a luxury vacation home. It was one of the nicest apartments I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The common areas were also nicely updated. I wish we had had more time there. I highly recommend this hotel.

It felt homey! Also love how it's a single storey property, so my parents and aunts can explore the place easily. The kitchen was beautiful, love the retro look. The bedroom was very comfy and warm, the bathroom was gorgeous (although we had a wee bit of an issue with the hot water, hopefully the staff/owner could look on it after we left). We love everything about this property, really.

Perfect location for a couple days of wine tasting. Walking distance along nice sidewalk into Tanunda. Clean and comfortable room with plenty of space and nice in-room amenities. Appreciated the helpful staff, especially Lindy. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing cottage check in and departure via safety box all great. Fantastic breakfast left. Everything you need was there. Twin beds were a little disappointing, moved around on the mattress topper. Would certainly visit again.

    A great little town. Friendly store keepers. Lots of goodies to be found. And (most important for me,) the terrain is perfect to leave the car at the hotel and go for a long long walk! We brought our own food - mainly to save the pennies and the facility worked for us.

    Great little town! Loved Bar Musque with tapas. The food was Devine with friendly service. A definite must do for everyone! A Wine Wagon wine tour was good value for money. Stopped at the Saturday markets before heading to four wineries for tastings and lunch was delicious! So much food- all included in the price. Thanks Timo! Had tea at The Clubhouse on Saturday night. Fantastic food. Warm fire and great atmosphere.

    Tanunda is the doorway to Barossa Valley. Best area to stay to explore Barossa Valley. Town has enough facilities and eateries. Information Centre is great, staff there very knowledgeable to advise best way to make use of your time and where to visit etc

    Favourite places were Z Wines, Brothers at War,...

    Favourite places were Z Wines, Brothers at War, RieslingFreak, and Alkina (this last one is a bit out of Tanunda). Bar Musque is great for dinner. Very easy to get around Tanunda - a lot within walking distance. All wineries, restaurants were great as a solo traveller, and there are some cute townships to explore as well.

    The easy access to all the local cellar doors and attractions that the Barossa Valley is renowned for. Tanunda is in the middle of the area with some great winery's a simple walk or bike ride away.

    Tanunda is a nice town but found some of the restaurants charging exorbitant tarrifs. A Day On The Green concert was fantastic. Good position for visiting other Barossa towns. Local taxis were friendly and affordable. Well done the cabbies.

    We were not expecting much due to the price and age of the hotel. Our expectations were certainly exceeded, the rooms have been renovated at look really good. More than anything it was Lindy’s service and hospitality that made the stay even better, nothing was too difficult for her. Lindy is so so friendly and helpful, thank you Lindy ❤️

    Our two bedroom unit was just perfect for our one night stay in Tanunda! We arrived to music and the heater on, milk in the fridge and Tim Tams on the table to welcome us. What a lovely touch.     The location was great, walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants and very quiet. Tanunda itself is close to many vineyards and is a great central location for access around the Barossa. The bed was comfortable and warm. Having a washing machine and dishwasher was handy.
