Tennant Creek
Providing free WiFi, Safari Lodge Motel is located in Tennant Creek. There's free private parking and the property provides free airport shuttle service. At the motel, every room has a closet. Good location near Main Street but quiet. Very nice room, parking outside room and gated at night. We were very happy with our night’s stay.
Tennant Creek
Located in Tennant Creek, Outback Caravan Park Tennant Creek provides accommodations with a year-round outdoor pool, a bar and barbecue facilities. Absolutely amazing & 5 star cabins. Stayed in the Delux cabin ( 2 double beds) Not what we expected and turned out to be an excellent pick 😊 The two lovely owners ( sorry wasn’t sure) were the best 10/10 for looking after customers. 100% coming back.
We booked it because we were just traveling thru. The surprise was how clean the rooms were and modern. I would happly stay there again. Great work by the staff and management to turn an old pub into a clean motel facilities. Awesome find!
Rough little town. When you check in to your accommodation and they say 'don't leave anything in your car', do as they say. All night I heard fights, arguments and gunshots (I assume hunting nearby. Would be worth finding accommodation in a tourist park or something. If you have your own van, etc. don't stay in Tennant Creek!
Don’t let first appearances deceive you! Gated secure parking and our room and bedroom were spacious modern and exceptionally clean ! Would stay again. Pub closed on the night we stayed…on sundays Ended up eating at Memorial club which was excellent
Had to travel through Tennant Creek enroute to Mt Isa. Town needs cleaning up, bit intimidating walking down main street. Goldfields Motel is not attractive from outside but inside it is very clean and tidy. The area outside motel rooms are neat and tidy and the car park gates are locked at night. Good air conditioning, comfortable, clean bed and clean bathroom.
Great for a stop over on the road to bigger and better places. The Safari lodge was a beautiful oasis that outdid accommodation at a budget anywhere between Brisbane and Darwin. Ate a great dinner at the Memorial Club.
Tennant Creek is about midway between Darwin & Alice Springs so is a logical overnight choice if you're doing this long trip. The town itself is quite small and feels a little unsafe at night, lots of people on the main street and hanging around the town's local pubs. The BP servo (cheapest fuel we found) at the northern end of town has good coffee and hot snacks, watch which entry you go in as there was congestion which seems to be the norm as they had a traffic guy on duty.
