Very nice property, reception very pleasant and helpful. Good parking & short drive to town. I had a cabin which had a compact kitchen area with plenty of cooking facilities. Quiet & very comfortable.

At first glance I don’t mind saying I was a little underwhelmed BUT the rooms have been renovated and have everything you need, the bed is super comfy and we had a fabulous meal at the hotel which is just across the driveway. Also its close (an easy walk) to town.

The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. It was a good size for a couple. I loved sitting on the front verandah having my morning cuppa. It felt very private. The grounds were beautifully kept and had lovely spots to sit and chat.

    Beautiful setting and lots of attractive old houses and other buildings. Several parks and lots of places to eat and shop. Close to the Bald Rock National Park. It's easy to walk around the main part of the town but a car is needed for the national parks.

    It seemed like a lovely town.

    It seemed like a lovely town. We had a very enjoyable dinner at The Commercial Hotel. The food was satisfactory, the portions generous and the ambience delightful. As we arrived much later than we'd hoped, and had to leave in the morning, we missed out on the things we'd have like to have experienced, so we will go there again one day.

    I loved the rock filled countryside, it is stunning and fascinating. The town is really lovely too. I highly recommend Uncle Tom’s Chinese (cash and takeaway only ), delicious food, great prices. and friendly service. Tom and May have been serving their community and visitors for 25 years. We loved staying overnight in a Villa at the Tenterfield Lodge Caravan Park, it was really quiet, cute and cosy. Tenterfield is a beautiful country town, with absolutely amazing rock scenery when you go driving out of town. We are definitely going back again, we love Tenterfield 💜

    We had a lovely stay in Tenterfield.

    We had a lovely stay in Tenterfield. We just went up in the afternoon to stay the night and spent the day doing the tourist thing. We had dinner at the Commercial and it was fantastic. After breakfast we drove up to Boonoo Boonoo Falls (about 40 minutes right to the falls). The walk was only a few hundred metres but the view was spectacular. We loved it - even though it was freezing and drizzling rain! Then we had morning tea back in town before going to the Railway Museum - which was also great and very interesting. Lunch was at the Royal Hotel and again was a great feed. Can't go past an old-fashioned bangers and mash on a wet and chilly afternoon!

    I have visited Tenterfield on several occasions and found it an interesting town. Alas, our visits have been overnight and I would like to return for a full day to visit the Railway museum and other restaurants. We did have dinner at the Coco Thai restaurant, delicious food, but a little quirky (no tofu or green tea; open 5-8pm). Also tried to get a morning hot chocolate with a keepcup, which was a no no at one venue (something about health regs), but another venue allowed However. the chocolate was not stirred into the the milk, and was a sludge at the bottom of the cup...yikes!

    Autumn (May) a wonderful time to be in Tenterfield, the frost has just come but the winter freeze is another month away. The colours of the trees are remarkable. Historical town, just wondering down the main street shopping was enjoyable. If you are going overseas in winter and want to be fashionable...good place to shop.

    Hotel is in a good location just a short 8 min walk to town centre. Whist situated on the main road the traffic noise was not a concern. Parking is under cover outside of room. Room was very clean and comfortable and serviced daily on request. Manager and staff were friendly and helpful with any inquiries. Comfortable bed and all the usual amenities are provided. Would be happy to return and stay at Settlers Motor Inn when staying in the beautiful town of Tenterfield.

    This is a magnificent place to stay in Tenterfield. Lovely greeting from exceptional manager/owner, upgrade to perfectly renovated hotel rooms with a great private bathroom with rain shower, dining room, bar and fireplaces downstairs. The epitome of a great country hotel stay.

    The rooms are warm, which in Tenterfield is always welcome. The open area is full of interesting things, like a grassy field and a bbq place. I did not use the bbq, but it is well equipped and very spacious, with a good number of seats and tables.
