Tin Can Bay Motel offers air-conditioned rooms with kitchenette facilities, just 328 feet from the calm waters of Tin Can Bay. Super clean (tile floors are a bonus). Well appointed. Friendly staff. Great location. Owner puts a lot of work into the property.
Located in Tin Can Bay, a 6-minute walk from Tin Can Bay Marina, Tin Can Bay Marina Villas provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. My family loved our little one night getaway at the Marina Villas. Was so nice and peaceful to sit on the verandah and watch the boats. Wish we had enough time to stay for longer. The pool was a hit with the kids. The kids loved it. Heidi the villa manager was a pleasure to deal with.
Tin Can Bay's Sleepy Lagoon Motel offers self-contained cabins with a balcony, just a 3-minute drive from the popular daily dolphin-feeding at Norman Point. Very clean, comfy bed, nice kitchen and bathroom. Very quiet area close to shore and park path. I block from grocery store. Loved it.
Rainbow Beach Holiday Park offers accommodations just a 3-minute drive from the town center of Rainbow Beach. The location was excellent very close to a boat ramp and extremely photogenic surroundings. The room was very clean and the aircon was excellent. The shower was hot. The late check in worked well and the receptionist was very helpful and welcoming.Advice about the area was accurate.
Tin Can Bay is amazing!! The people are very friendly - lots to do. Dolphin Centre and breakfast at Barnacles was so much fun! Swim & fish at Norman Point. Lots of different parks for the kids. Close to IGA only a 6min drive to Cooloola Woolies lots of nearby restaurants and only an hour drive to Hervey Bay and half an hour drive to Rainbow Beach!
Tin Can Bay has the laid back feel of a retirement village; dont go if you are expecting an exciting night life, there isnt one if you dont make it yourself. Eating is one of the highlights, great food and decent portions at the Pub (Sleepy Lagoon) and the Fish&Chips shop has to be one of the best I have been to in Australia, it rivals my favourite in Cooktown (NQ) where the fish was caught by hand about an hour before we were served it as a meal. We havent tried the Country Club yet, but will endevour to do this on our next visit. Dolphins are dolphins to me but the kids enjoy feeding them, arrive early if you want any chance of feeding them, getting a parking spot, or getting served a meal at the cafe at the Marina without lining up for an hour.
My meal at the hotel/motel was dreadful. The snapper fillet could not be cut with a knife. The chips were good however. My husband's chicken parmi was better value. Tin Can Bay has a lovely walkway along the waterfront.
A lovely little sea side town. Very relaxed with good facilities and scenic drives nearby. Went to the Dolphin feeding and although we didn't go in the water there was a good viewing area and we enjoyed it immensely. The dolphin volunteer ladies and gents were very informative and extremely interesting. Unfortunately the sunset cruise was unavailable the night we wanted to go. We will do it next time.
Highlight was definitely the Dolphin feeding and having a restaurant on site at the Marina Villas was a bonus. Unfortunately the meals on Friday night wasn't that good but that can happen from time to time.

* Quiet location, sea view from the balcony * Easy access to the Dolphin Centre * Not too far from Rainbow Beach, yet much quieter and less crowded * A good place to disconnect from work & electronic devices * A small community library at Tin Can Bay
The cabin was well equipped and modern. A good range of cutlery and plates/dishes etc. Handy to have plenty of power outlets, including some near the beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Located centrally in Tin Can Bay
Kingfisher caravan park is a short walk up the road from the Dolphin Centre. The cabin was neat and clean. Check in was easy. Great staff.
The location was perfect, pet friendly though we didn’t have a pet with us, but we love it when any establishment is pet friendly......
