Search hotels in White Cliffs

There is nothing I liked about the hotel. It lacked facilities like coffee making in room. The rooms were bland and boring. We had the only room with private bathroom - it was large but stark cold and unpleasant. Lighting in the room was poor. One of the meals was ok, the other soso. Access to the hotel was terrible. The recent rain should be no excuse to the state of the road. Over-rated!

The hosts were so lovely and the accommodation was a home away from home. Just lovely, they have thought of everything. My bed was one of the bunks and it was so comfortable, the linen was so soft and warm.

I enjoyed the experience of the Underground Motel. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Getting a bit lost in the hallways was a small adventure, wondering where you would finish up, but really, it was easy to navigate and quite interesting. The view of sunset was excellent, although very cold. The Motel was very reminiscent of the Ice Hotel in Sweden.

Great sunsets, quirky rooms, inhospitable staff, black mould in bathrooms, empty cups/bottles not cleared regularly. Previous visit 18 months ago had better staff, who made eye contact and made you feel welcomed. Not this seasons staff

There is parking on the outside of the motel (above ground). The motel has lovely shared areas such as reading nooks, games area, eatery and mini museum. The rooms are large and spacious as well as comfy. They also have plenty of hanging space and a desk and chair, with plenty of ventilation. It was a pleasure to experience a quiet and cozy night underground - great experience!

1.) The experience in staying in an Underground Motel is absolutely amazing. There is also a little Museum inside which tells you about the history of White Cliff, which is very informative. The Continental Breakfast was very nice, Dinner was a small menu but still nice food. 2 of the bathrooms are quite old but there are some new ones as well. 2.) The Red Opal Mining Tour was an amazing, informative event led by a very funny guide which made it very amusing. 3.) The Tour of the white Dugout is a definit must see. What an amazing private residence, decorated very tasteful art pieces.
