We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of Yass and enjoyed the historical walking tour of the town and a leisurely walk along the river. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Kaffeine in town and had fun discovering the gift shops and their beautiful wares. Yass is a typical country town with a good range of cafes and restaurants/pubs. On this occasion, on a public holiday we found that The Australian hotel pub has good selection of beers and food with more than generous portions. The same applies to their desserts.Guest review byLillyAustralia - 10.0

A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river.
A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river. The closeness to Canberra was very beneficial as I heard Vivaldi, some Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Paganini played by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne which consisted of 5 stringed instruments and a Spanish baritone soloist. Yass is a super cute little country town with lots of character and cool old Victorian buildings. I'm a building and house creeper, so love wandering around local streets checking out the architecture. There are a few great cafes and restaurants, and a handful of shops - nothing too fancy. Nice town with all needed. Was our half way stop to sydney. Hamilton Hume motel was great value and clean. Recommend. Bowling club had great food even though the outside looked un inviting the staff were great and food was great value.Guest review byCliffordAustralia

The staff are friendly and helpful, the bed comfortable and the room large. Located within easy walking distance of the centre of Yass it ticked all the boxes for us. We didn’t dine at the motel’s delightfully named Ewe ‘n Me restaurant, so I can’t comment on that, instead we had a hugely enjoyable tapas meal and drinks at the deservedly popular Yazzbar in town and then walked back to the motel.Guest review byJasonAustralia

Fantastic shower. Newly renovated, private gardened entrance, birds chirping outside. Just a lovely place to stay. We will remember Yass because of this nights stay.
