C-Hotels Helios 3 stars

Hotel in Blankenberge

Just 500 metres from Casino Blankenberge, this hotel is located on the beach promenade facing the North Sea and the sandy beach. Important to me was the ability to reserve a parking place at the hotel. Tight area but well worth it, for me. Exceptional friendly personnel and immaculate. A fine breakfast. A special gratitude to Tim and Aurora for the rapid responses to email questions. Tim also checked us in and out and explained every detail about the amenities and services in detail.

Hotel Mercure Blankenberge Station 4 stars

Hotel in Blankenberge

Located in Blankenberge, 400 metres from Blankenberge Beach, Hotel Mercure Blankenberge Station features a bar and views of the city. We stayed one night in this hotel during the COVID period, bar and restaurant were closed for this reason but we could have a wonderful breakfast prepared according to the safety rules and we had a take away meal that the staff heated for us for the evening dinner (that we could eat in the hotel restaurant). Very nice and flexible personnel ! Also, as the hotel was quiet empty, we could check-in at 13:00 instead 15:00, this was also very much appreciated. Thank you !

Avenue Boutique Hotel 3 stars

Hotel in Blankenberge

Avenue Boutique Hotel is a renovated original Art Deco hotel dating from 1932 which has a fitness area and a solarium. I am a great lover of art deco and this hotel was great for that. A real "old fashioned" personal service at breakfast and what a great choice for breakfast, even gorgeous chocolate - shave off your own from the block. The cleanliness and comfort of the room was great. Immediate wifi, television, lovely modern shower room.

FAQs about hotels in Blankenberge

Seaside Pursuits in the Shade of a Pier

Blankenberge is Belgium’s most popular seaside resort and has a lively atmosphere day and night. Its prominent pier is the only one in the country and despite its long length, at low tide the North Sea recedes almost as far as its circular tip, exposing a wide stretch of sand.

In summer this golden resource becomes moulded into incredible works of art during the Sand Sculpture Festival, on a sheltered site opposite the Sea Life Centre Belgium.

More creatures live in the Serpentarium, just along the beachfront promenade from Blankenberge Casino. To either side are a host of high-rise buildings containing shops, restaurants and sea-view hotels and apartments on Booking.com.

To the south-west the promenade ends at the access channel to the large marina and the surrounding streets offer more accommodation options, some with their own swimming pool. All are near Blankenberge train station and a short drive from Zeebrugge Port, the arrival point of ferries from England. Its towering cranes can be spotted during a horseback ride on the beach or when cycling through the dunes.

The spire of St Anthony’s Church is another tall landmark, and the 17th-century town hall has one of the historic gables still visible between Blankenberge’s modern shops.
