Monsieur Maurice

Monsieur Maurice

Bruges Centre, Bruges

Located in the Historic Centre of Brugge district of Bruges, Monsieur Maurice provides accommodation with a bar and free WiFi. Bed was more than comfy and room overall very cozy and warm. Staff was extremely helpful and nice, especially the front-desk guy who gave us all the tips&tricks of where to eat the best waffles (and indeed they were the best!) or where to find the best chocolate, together with a full description of the route to follow (and a map) to see all the important things in the city! His positive energy and greeting attitude definitely made the stay in this wonderful city even better!

Picture Postcard Perfect

Bruges is a picture perfect medieval city that will charm you with its distinctive, century-old houses, plentiful canals and city walls. The famous 13th-century Belfry offers the opportunity to watch the cobbled market place, the Grote Markt, below while 47 bells call out to the city every 15-minutes. While you’re in the Grote Markt you can take a ride in one of the horse-drawn carriages around the city.

Many interesting artefacts can be found in the churches of Bruges, a Michelangelo statue is housed in the Church of Our Lady and the Basilica of the Holy Blood contains a vial of blood reportedly from Jesus Christ. Other museums include the Groeninge Museum which includes works of art spanning 6 centuries.

Belgium cuisine is famous worldwide and the cafes of Bruges offer an inviting retreat from the cooler climate. Brewery De Halve Maan explains the process behind the beer which washes down the world-class fries, chocolate and mussels found all over the city.

Bruges is easily reached from the Brussel-Zuid train station or the Brussels Airport. From a romantic suite to an apartment for a group of friends, Booking.com will make sure your stay in Bruges is a memorable one.
