This is a lovely jewel of a hotel in Bruges. It is located in the loveliest part of town and central to everything. There is a beautiful terrace over the canal. Our room was very large and beautifully decorated. The staff was exceptionally helpful and arranged a last minute tour for us and helped us with restaurant reservations.

Literally everything. Start from the great location (right in the center) through the design and Christmas decorations. When i arrived, my room was ready early before check-in time. One of the receptionest gave me a map and explained a lot about the city. The room i had for one person was cozy and well designed and had everything i needed, including coffee and water. Bed was comfortable. Dont skip breakfast. it's highly recommended. I travel a lot, and this hotel is definitely one of my favorites.

Location was excellent, very central to the main market square. Indoor Swimming pool and sauna were very clean and are highly recommended. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make it an enjoyable stay.

Hotel de Castillon is a small and elegant hotel in Bruges with a central location. Stay in one of the beautiful rooms and have a drink on the pretty courtyard terrace.

If you browse through my ratings, you may notice I am easily pleased and hard to displease. This needs to be said, of all the hotels I have ever stayed in, The Notary is an easy top 3 in decoration, ambience and vibe, top 5 in location and convenience, top 5 in value, top 10 in the dining experience (while still being REALLY good), but it takes the absolute first place in staff. Starting with the owners, as well it should, we felt more like we were staying with good friends than in an actual hotel. Beautiful building within walking distance to almost every landmark, extremely well appointed, flawless decoration, I have nothing but good things to say.
