The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept like a baby. Even though the room overlooked the road in front of the hotel, it was quiet. The shower was plenty hot. The ability to park my motorcycle inside a secure building was a great added benefit. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Emily.

Just outside Ypres, you’ll find the cozy family hotel of Flanders Lodge, with a nice winter garden restaurant and the charm of a log cabin. The breakfast was by far the star of our stay, it was very well curated, with Belgian and English items (as you get many English tourists in the area) and the food really was nice. Also good location and good amount of parking.

Lovely city with so much history… the people were very friendly and helpful and good food in all the restaurants. We were self catering and we had no problem getting all the food we needed in local shops but we also ate in the restaurants. We will be back.
Ypres is a beautiful old town with an old world charm. I found parking easy if you select areas about 5 to 10 minutes walk from the center. There are lots of places to eat and drink and English is widely spoken. Obviously its main draw is the history of the 1914 - 1918 War. The Museum is a must to visit and also the Last Post at the Menin Gate. The Last Post sounds at 8-00pm but get there early!!
It's a beautiful city with an outstanding museum - In Flanders Fields. We went to 3 pubs (bars), all of which were excellent and very friendly Perhaps not the cheapest city, but certainly one of the best and definitely worth it.
Perfect base to explore WW1 history from and enjoy Flanders in general. The roads are so easy in that part of Belgium. Ypres is a quaint city, enjoyable restaurants and pubs. Can't beat Belgian beers.
I think most people will come here for the war history of which there is much. Otherwise, there is old architecture to look at, or an array of shops, museum etc. There is a train station so it can be used as a base for further travel, if you have a car then it's a good location for Lille, Brugges etc.
The Menen Gate Ceremony is always poignant and the large amount of people that attend are always respectful. The Museum in the square is interesting. I like the "quaintness" of the town. My primary reason to visit is for the cemetaries & for the history of the area. The Belgian Chcolate and Beer isn't bad either.

The location, breakfast, standard of cleanliness and quality of the breakfast were all top notch. Also, the parking was convenient (and safe). It was also private and quiet with its own independent entry each evening. In a beautiful area, it offered a very serene stay. B&B Ter Vesten was very conveniently located with respect to walking to the centre of town, including the Menin Gate and St Martin's. Would definitely recommend staying here!
The staff were very friendly and really facilitated a great stay. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was a good size. The location of the hotel is also brilliant, being a stone's throw from the lakkenhal and just up from the Menin Gate. Overall the stay was fantastic and I will definitely return on my next visit to Ypres!

Very knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly hosts who were happy to help us make the most of our visit to Ypres and the surrounding area. The personal touch was a welcome and positive addition to the typical experience of a large/corporate hotel. It was a very short walk to the town centre
A very nice room - clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel was well located - within easy reach of Ypres and an interesting war museum next door with relics of WW1 in the hotel garden. Excellent evening meal and good breakfast too.
Lovely room overlooking the Cloth Hall, newly refurbished throughout. Great breakfast buffet, hot and cold food. Can't fault the location! Our favourite Ypres hotel, staying here for many years when visiting.
