Very welcoming host, also flexible with late arrival time. Cozy room and house, with wonderful breakfast - we were lucky to have good weather to eat on the terrace. To avoid wasting food, our preferences of bread choices etc where asked beforehand and if anything was missing it was served directly. Thus, very considerate and mindful which we liked. We only stayed one night but it looks like we would enjoy a few more :)

I stayed at B&B de Edelsteen with my husband over the weekend. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable, the place was comfortable and very clean. Tasty and generous breakfast. Beautiful walking areas around. I recommend!

The cottage is super comfortable and cozy and Veronique's lovely Christmas decorations made it magical and even more cozy. The kids were thrilled. Veronique explained very clearly how to find the cottage and the key. It was no problem, even in the dark. She was very quick to respond to each message I sent her. And when we accidentally turned off the gas stove (the heating), and had to ask her how to turn it back on she called immediately to walk us through it. (She noted that an easier to use/more practical stove was due to be installed right after our visit, so that's another plus.) She even proposed to send us something we forgot by post! The kitchen is well-equipped and everything in the cottage is clean and works properly. The location is great for exploring the area. We visited Bokrijk and the Hasselt Christmas Market while we were there and it was great to be so close to both. We'll be back to explore the trails of the Hoge Kempen soon. Breakfast is delicious and the presentation is lovely (delivered on a wrapped tray and included special seasonal treats). This is an excellent place to say!

It is a great place with everything you need in the kitchen. Except an oven and a freezer. But a grocery store is 5 min away by car and it has a BBQ grill. It is very nicely decorated and cozy. The host was very nice. A peace of BBQ was missing and he brought a new BBQ! It was an amazing experience. Our dogs loved it. Also there is an entrance to the National Park Hoge Kempen blue hiking trail about 5 min away by foot. You can see it on the attached image.

Absolute decency and warmth would be the right definition for this place. I warmly recommend it.
