From a tourism perspective, it's not a very interesting city. It has a large park, a less impressive pedestrian street, and a long beach that is crowded and littered (lots of cigarette butts are scattered around). Our stay at The House of the Dreams exceeded all our expectations. Our host, Marieta—a very kind, hospitable, and friendly lady—welcomed us with a warm smile and had the apartment perfectly prepared for our stay. Free underground parking was available. The apartment was comfortable, with all the amenities of home: soft furniture, cozy armchairs, large wooden tables, and gallery-style paintings. Fresh fruit was waiting for us on the table. We didn’t miss a thing—spotless white bed linens, towels, and all necessary appliances: air conditioner, iron, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, hairdryer, stovetop, microwave, refrigerator—everything just like at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils a homemaker would need to prepare delicious meals. There was also a cupboard stocked with various spices, teas, coffee, and a range of cleaning products for the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was modern and tastefully arranged. The apartment is furnished with a unique sense of style and elegance. A spacious balcony offered a breathtaking view—the sea in all its azure-blue splendor. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach, which has a free-access area. Along the pedestrian street, you’ll find hundreds of shops and restaurants: Tbilisi, Black Pearl, The Old House... with music, delights, and everything you could wish for. I've been coming to Varna for nigh on 17 years. It has tons of culture in the summer, a beach shoreline so long you can always find an uncrowded spot, and a simple, unpretentious aspect that makes me feel at home. Prices are very moderate and there are good mid-range restaurants throughout the central core. The Archaeological Museum is highly recommended!Guest review byDrMickDCanada
