    Very lovely and compact if you're staying near Varna Beach.

    Very lovely and compact if you're staying near Varna Beach. Huge pedestrian zone, easy to navigate the city (I used Google Maps the first day, and then I was roaming like a native). Loved the huge stretch of park along the coast, all the restaurants and bars. I arrived just as school started, so on the fringe of the season. People very, very friendly. Absolutely loved the beach bar and restaurant Pechkata and the Sea View. Calamar Bar. And my favorite, The Forrest. Swam with the dolphins at the dolphinarium (fantastic!) and even bumped a jellyfish on the head by accident (lucky that, but the poor sucker ended up on the beach two days later). For my first visit to Bulgaria, very positive (I mean, the jellyfish did NOT sting me, so there is that).

    From a tourism perspective, it's not a very interesting city...

    From a tourism perspective, it's not a very interesting city. It has a large park, a less impressive pedestrian street, and a long beach that is crowded and littered (lots of cigarette butts are scattered around). There are a few scattered socialist-era sights still in the city. I would recommend visiting the nearby Balchik instead.

    Pedestrian friendly vibrant city with beautiful gardens, landscape, beaches and architecture. The city centre near hotel Chernomore and sea garden gives ample options of vegetarian and non vegetarian food.

    Our stay at The House of the Dreams exceeded all our expectations. Our host, Marieta—a very kind, hospitable, and friendly lady—welcomed us with a warm smile and had the apartment perfectly prepared for our stay. Free underground parking was available. The apartment was comfortable, with all the amenities of home: soft furniture, cozy armchairs, large wooden tables, and gallery-style paintings. Fresh fruit was waiting for us on the table. We didn’t miss a thing—spotless white bed linens, towels, and all necessary appliances: air conditioner, iron, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, hairdryer, stovetop, microwave, refrigerator—everything just like at home. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils a homemaker would need to prepare delicious meals. There was also a cupboard stocked with various spices, teas, coffee, and a range of cleaning products for the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was modern and tastefully arranged. The apartment is furnished with a unique sense of style and elegance. A spacious balcony offered a breathtaking view—the sea in all its azure-blue splendor. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach, which has a free-access area. Along the pedestrian street, you’ll find hundreds of shops and restaurants: Tbilisi, Black Pearl, The Old House... with music, delights, and everything you could wish for. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to everyone and sincerely thank Marieta for her professionalism and wonderful attitude.

    The apartment was spacious, 2 TVs, bed was comfortable and the pillows were much better than what I had in similar hotels. Wifi was good. The receptionists were nice. The hotel was quite close to the beach, indeed. The hotel was also close to the Varna Port where we could find good restaurants, as well across the hotel it was a big park and a sort of back street beach to walk until the a sea wall or even further. The hotel offered a voucher for 2 sun beds and an umbrella, plus towels.

    I was in Hugo hotel with my family. We took 3 rooms for one week in december. Lovely little hotel - good location - close to the sea, to the central park, bars and restaurant. Very good breakfast in hotel lobby! Courteous hotel staff. Good service! Expecial thanks for Stephan - for his exceptional care and highest professionalism! He made our stay in Bulgaria especially pleasant - showing and explaining everything to us.

    All in all this Hotel is the best Choice for Varna. The room was super clean with all amneties you may need. Everything is Brand new and the rooms are cleaned daily. The Welcoming was very warm as well as the Check-out experience. This was certainly the most pleasant stay we had not only in Varna, but in Bulgaria in General. Keep up the good work :)

    Great location in a city center. The hotel staff brought me to the bus stop and found a person who went to the same direction. I cannot speak in Bulgarian, but I could travel without any worries.
