A taste of the South East. Great food from so many different Asian countries. Very helpful calm happy people. Calm pace, they cannot be hurried. Large spaces, Pop-up street events. Covid-cautious. My best dinner out was in KIMCHI Restaurant because I wanted Korean food. I was not disappointed. Not easy to get around as no public transportation easily available.... except you call for DART.
Its very small so 3 days is enough time. there isnt much to do but a trip to the mangroves to see the monkeys and to the rainforest is nice and peaceful if you are into nature. There isnt much luxury shopping and it is quite expensive. Local cuisine is good similar to their neighboring countries. Do try ambuyat its quite odd but worth a try.
Not much to d other then visit museums and markets. We ventured out to Tomburong which is a boat ride away and there are a lot activities there like sky walking where you go up 1000 steps n can see the jungle below, kayaking and trekking. We ate at the local markets where local food is sold, cheap and very clean and food very tasty. If you are into gardening , few nice garden centers to visit . The only way to get around is by Taxi, which can be daunting g at times .
2 days 1 night is a perfect stay and way to see the city. Make sure you go with a fellow traveller if possible to negotiate a 2hr boat ride of the river and Kampong Ayer, you get a great rate for seeing the mangroves, monkeys, floating city and crocs. Looks for the Superman Boat :)
i love cleanliness and calmness of the city. Do visits Royal Regalia Museum, very interesting to see gifts from world leaders to Sultan. I'd would also recommend to visit Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque and Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas during sunset to take beautiful photos! 2 days 1 night shall be enough!
There's not a lot to do, especially in the evenings (it's a dry country but you can bring in a small amount of Duty Free to consume in your room, so get a large room!). However, we enjoyed walking around the town seeing the Mosque, Royal Regalia Museum, boat trip up the Brunei River to see a crocodile and proboscis monkeys, visit to a local park to see macaques, squirrels, birds and a waterfall, night market, day market and some incredibly inexpensive Indian restaurants. Worth a few days of your time.
Bandar Seri Begawan
The location of this place is a wonderful! If you are coming to BSB by bus from Sarawak, your bus stop would be just a few steps from the hotel door! It cant be better. We got room at 3rd floor with a view of Kampong Ayer and that was pretty great! The room itself is modern one, clean, bright and really nice and comfortable. To be frank, it was much better than we expected and i really can recommend this place for everyone coming to Brunei
Bandar Seri Begawan
Rizal is on time at the airport. He showed me around Poni Divers and I suddenly got interested in diving, thank you Rizal! Thank you is not enough to say to Muz who took care of me when I'm sick. I'm not really in good shape when I came to Brunei and luckily found a home. I loved my room too - so comfortable and neat!! Thank you Poni Homestay and Muz!! I will see you when I come back! God bless.
Very good location, nearby to downtown Bandar and two blocks from Sultan’s Regalia Museum. This hotel provides free airport pickup & shulke back to airport. Free good buffet breakfast. Sleeping room quiet and secure.
It is near the tourism area, there is a supermarket at the back, restaurants and it got shuttle service from airport to hotel. I also like that there is a pool.
I was met at the airport and shuttled to and from the hotel to meet my flights, great service especially when the flights were very late and very early!
