Hotel in Copacabana
Located 400 metres from the Copacabana Peninsula, Hotel Utama offers rooms with views of Titicaca lake and private bathrooms with hot water. The people running the hotel are very helpful especially when I was sick. Breakfast was great, White anchor was an easy 5-minute walk, Cerro Calvario is also near. There are free snacks and a big seating area to relax on. Heating is on schedule but I was okay with the extra blanket. Wifi is also fast - very important for me who was traveling and working at the same time.

Overrated town with little character. One big tourist trap with no diversity in activities or food. Dirty and unkept. Locals clearly don't value cleanliness.... Trash filled the streets. One day was too long to spend here.
It was busy while we were there, as it was the holiday weekend. It’s a nice town with a beatific cathedral. We visited a Isla Del Sol for one night which was amazing. Overall, 2-3 nights in Copacabana is more than sufficient.
This is probably Bolivia’s most underrated destination. Mediterranean who?! The views here are stunning. Hikes at Isla del Sol, Cerro El Calvario, and Horca del Inca provided the most spectacular overlooks of the city. Worth the miles we walked and being out of breath!
There isn’t a lot to do. In hindsight I would have skipped an overnight stay here. The trip to the Isla Del Sol was a nice break but nothing spectacular. You get a nice boat ride, a good hike up the hill, a look at some Incan ruins and then your trip back down is lined with local villagers selling their wares. We had a fantastic breakfast at La Fe (I think that was the name, it was the first cafe on the left as you walk up the Main Street and has an upstairs terrace) and would highly recommend the English breakfast for value. To fill in time the basilica was nice to walk around as were all the markets. The foreshore was crowded with boats, people, donkeys and watersports and there are cheap food stalls along the foreshore away from the main touristic area.
I've been back and forth to Copacabana from peru for 6 years. It's become incredibly sad to watch the carnival, western tourism take over the sleepy charming town and pollute it's pristine waters. I was honestly shocked this time to see the trash on the beaches, the stench, and the tourist traps. Really devastating to see local culture get taken over even in a tiny town in Bolivia.
It's a place where you can relax, appreciate nature and it's a stress free environment once you got to know your bearing. People are kind and doesn't hassle you around. Lots of souvenirs to buy at a very cheap price.
Copacabana
everything it was the best place we had so far during our trip in Bolivia. the owners are sweet. we stayed in the bungalow it is big and very original. it was nice and warm at night. hot water in the shower. the view on the lake is amazing the garden is beautiful. there are alpacas, a cat, a super sweet dog. you can serve yourself to fresh water. the breakfast was just what one needs. you can just relax and enjoy the views in hammocks or chairs.
Copacabana
During our tree month trip around through the continent we never had a stay like this. The professional service, all the extra facilities you don't expect to have, the amazing design and crazy view. All to a good price! We stayed for two nights and I just wished we could have stayed even longer. I highly recommend Las Olas! ❤
The view from our room was amazing! There are amenities in the room for your comfort: coffee, tea, coca leaves. Location is great if you plan to stay a few days in Copacabana and to rest. If you are there on a quick trip, the hotel is a bit away from the city centre.
The fireplace in the room mixed with the view are probably the best thing in Copacabana. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and the shower is hot. View from the rooms is amazing. Good beds.
Really awesome value and friendly staff. Very close to everything in town too! Would definitely recommend anyone coming to Copacabana stay here.
Great views. Very big room with large shower. Best breakfast we had in South America so far. Pool also available but we didn't use.
The artistic attention to detail in the decorations of the hotel genuinely contributed towards an Andean mountain experience.
Copacabana
Good breakfast, big rooms, feels like hotel not hostel
Everything else was to standard for a basic hotel
