Uyuni came at the end of our San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni private tour (3 days-2 nights) that was exceptional, so not much left to see around the small city except the people and plazas, although the small museum on the army base was very interesting and informative, as recommended by Chris. We stayed three nights and found the hotel clean and very well located to walk around. The restaurant, and more specifically Chris, was outstanding catering breakfast on a jazzy note and offering delicious pizzas by evening. Our room didn't have natural light nor a view, nor a closet, hooks nor hangers which made things a little complicated in our case, since we had some heavy luggage. Everybody at the hotel was most helpful and I would definitly recommend staying there.
Uyuni Salt Flats has been on our bucket list for years and we were super excited to visit. It exceeded our expectations and will return soon. It is easy to get around the town. If you want to explore the salt flats and the Andes it's best to hire a tour guide. We had the best 7 days in and around Uyuni. We dined at Tika, Tacuru, and local vendors. The food was delicious and filling. Our favorite places were the salt flats and exploring the Andes.
Small derelict little town which wouldn’t be as busy if it wasn’t for the world famous salt flats. However, there are many restaurants and bars to accommodate tourists as well as a bus terminal and an airport. A must if you’re in South America.
A good place to be visited. Salar Tour is great. One thing hope one day will be changed. Providing reusable way to providing drinking water replaces keeping buying bottle water. Along the way from La Paz to Uyuni, there are a lot of bottles and food wrapping. Wish a greener Bolivia.
The refraction of huge salt lake in uyuni was way more beautiful and amazing than I expected. Especially at night, we could see tons of stars over your head and on the ground. That’s the most breathtaking view that I’ve ever seen.
Uyuni is a great stop off, the tours to the salt flats are worth every penny regardless of your budget. The train cemetery is near the town so you can visit off your own back, such a cool place. Plenty of restaurants and shops to pop in during a flying visit. Friendly locals, great weather and clean
Not only are the radiators, gas heaters and solar showers amazing after a long day on the salt flats, but the warmth of the owners hearts (Sussy and Chris) are what makes this hotel stand out from all the others. Not to mention the breakfast that could fuel an army and had the best selection we have been offered so far (including dietry requirements). Overall, great stories, fantastic pizza (also in the hotel) and outstanding human beings. Thank you both so much for an unforgettable stay.
Best Hotel we have stayed at since travelling South America. They are always cleaning and staff are all super nice to you. Location is great and having a lift made things super easy. Compared to another two hotels we stayed at before we left for salt flats this one has all the little extras that make things comfortable eg good wifi, English speaking, delicious breakfast, hot water, heating that doesn’t turn off, bathmats/ hand towels, handy shampoo and conditioners.
Uyuni
Excellent room in a very nice new hotel, with underfloor heating and an extra room heater. Uyuni can be very cold at night. Thete are some salt bricks used as decoration in the room, which was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. WiFi was fast and the hot water was good. Breakfast was good, tea with coffee available all day.
Wonderful staff willing to accommodate all your wishes. I had an extremely early departure, which would not allow me to have breakfast. One of the staff members got up early in the morning and prepared it just for me. Exceptionally clean. Staff is constantly cleaning this hotel. I fell sorry for them.
The hotel is very comfortable, clean, and great welcoming ataff. It is within walking distance of the little town or you can have dinner there at the hotel. They do not accept credit cards so come with cash. Great place for the first night in town before heading off to the salt flats.
super clean. very comfortable bed. and cute bedrooms with salt decoration on the walls. the staff is very nice and we even stayed an extra night to relax before our tour to Salar de Uyuni . nice complimentary breakfast too. honestly a great value !
