Situated in Abraão and with Abraaozinho Beach reachable within 1.8 km, Pousada Costa Verde features a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a garden. Ricardo could not have been nicer and very accommodating. He provide us with plenty of information and was great company also. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Perfect location just a few minutes walk from the main part of Abrao.
Che Lagarto Hostel Ilha Grande is situated just steps away from the Bay of Ilha Grande and the shores of Rio de Janeiro. My stay was amazing. The hostel has a vibrant energy, the staff is super friendly and always willing to help. The facilities are comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, close enough to center, far enough for relaxation.
Offering practical accommodation in the idyllic Ilha Grande, Biergarten Pousada & Hostel is set 5 km from Lopes Mendes Beach. WiFi access is available throughout. The property itself was beautiful. I loved the resident house kitties. The communal kitchen was also super helpful and helped cut down on costs.
Pousada Albatroz is located in a quiet mountain area in Abraão - Ilha Grande. The property is decorated in a rustic tropical style. Pousada Albatroz offers different room categories. Bruno and his sister are excellent hosts. They were friendly, accommodating, and made the best cocktails in the country. Try a Moscow Mule, you won't be disappointed. Also ask for their recommendations for things to do. We had excellent meals per Bruno's recommendations. Plus there are some cats that hang around the property (all domesticated)! Generally friendly, but will likely ignore you and just lounge in the sun or on a seat. The rooms were tidy and clean. Beautiful compound that gives a far more authentic vibe than a Hilton or something like that. The breakfast was tasty; they rotated cakes each morning and the fresh cut mango and pineapple were delicious.
Yes Hotel Pousada offers accommodation in Ilha Grande, 280 metres away from the main port. This guesthouse offers a garden and a shared lounge. A complimentary breakfast is served daily. Great breakfast, great location, the room was simple but very clean and functional. The bed was exactly to my taste, not too stiff and not too soft. The ceiling fan, AC, TV, power outlets and switches all worked perfectly. There was no noise coming from neighboring rooms. The hammock on the balcony with the view of the garden was a great touch.
Pousada Naturalia is located in a 1000 square metres tropical garden only 60 metres from Abraão Beach, in a quiet area. It offers accommodation with balcony and free Wi-Fi. Lovely place in a very calm neighborhood about 10min walking along the beach to reach "city centre". Very welcoming and helpfull staff. The hotel has very good rooms with stunning view of the ocean. No other noises at night rather than nature. Breakfast was also really good. On a rainy day I asked for a umbrella and they borrowed me one!
I would highly recommend to spend 3-4 days at ilha grande and specifically Abraão. Take a boat trip to different islands on two of those days and spend the rest of the days just hanging out on the island itself. There is not too much to do on itself but eating at nice restaurants, speaking to the friendly locals and hanging out at the beach will make sure you will be fully rested at the end of your stay over here.
Ilha Grande is a peace of Europe in Rio de Janeiro, just amazing. There's great for everyone from kids to seniors, if you like trekking you can see the waterfall and gorgeous beaches behind of the mountains, or you can hire a boat and see the almost all beaches for a fair price. I recommend you to see, "praia da feiticeira" and "cachoeira da feiticeira".
Lively Caribbean style beach town. No cars, all roads are made of sand. Tons of great restaurants and bars mainly of very good quality. Loads of boat trip options to the many beaches and coves on the island.
Abrao is the central part of Ilha Grande you can stay there and then made your trips to the different beaches nearby or by taking a boat usually will cost 15 BRL or 25 BRL depending on the length (only one way) You can also use the Trilhas or roads to do some hiking they vary from 30mins to 3hs
nice hikes to beaches, nice bars and restaurants with good happy hours dotted around. Unfortunately it was raining heavily on one and there is literally nothing to do there in the rain! Otherwise the trip was perfect.
Wonderful island! So nice to come here after a few nights in therio big city of Rio De Janeiro. It's island life, good foodto, cozy streets. Beautiful beaches, and so many things to do. Snorkle, hiking, boat tours. Really a paradise island. We had three nights here, and I could have stayed for weeks
The location is perfect, close to the main pier and in front of the beach. The dining room has an amazing view of the sea and breakfast was delicious. The place is very quiet, ideal for resting. Staff was very friendly, helping us to make the most of our visit. Definitely will return here!
The owner was super helpful and friendly, the posada was very clean and had a great locationin Abraão just a five minute walk from the port.
The staff was really nice, the room was clean, good location and the breakfast was so nice, best we had in 4 weeks in Brazil!
