This isn't the first time we've stayed at the Deville Porto Alegre, so our expectations were already high, based on our previous stays. Every aspect of the hotel was exceptional. My 10-year-old grandson said it all: "This hotel really knows how to hotel!" And he was right.

check in was easy and attentive, staff went out of their way to be welcoming, greeting me everytime they saw me, very friendly - something that people from this part of brazil is not particularly known for. the room was fairly new, very practical, nice bed and good shower ammenities. breakfast was absolutely stunning, so many bakery options. i also appreciated they open at 6am.

We chose this hotel because we needed to catch a flight early the next day. The location was perfect. Close to the metro, some markets and restaurants. It was very simple, but adequate for packing up and a good night's rest. The staff let us use the breakfast space and electric kettle for our supper snack.

    Porto Alegre is a great city.

    Porto Alegre is a great city. It is nice to see that the areas affected by 2024 tragedy have been completed restored. Food is superb. The meat is specially superior to other places in Brazil. The parks are well maintained, downtown still has a comercial stance. I could find great food shops as well as fine restaurants in Mercado Público. The Guaíba margin contains a nice park besides restaurants and bars. Downtown has several historical buildings and bookshops.

    The historical city center it´s must see.

    The historical city center it´s must see. The Gaíba rive shore is amazing. Porto Alegre, like any other big city in the world, have itís problems, but the place deservs a visit, including the nearby cities of Gramado and Canela.

    Porto Alegre is a big city with a felling of small town.

    Porto Alegre is a big city with a felling of small town. Lots of green areas, parks and squares. The shopping malls are huge. The traffic is not bad, just avoid to go out at rush hour. The main food is bbq (gaucho stye) and has steakhouses all you can eat with a reasonable price everywhere around the city.

    The apartment was clean and fully equipped. It was very quiet, which is something hard to find in Porto Alegre. Most of the hotels have paper thin walls, and the older apartment buildings are not soundproof. This apartment, on the other hand, was very quiet and I could not hear anything from outside or the hall. This is the highlight of my stay. The bedroom has blackout blinds.

    I stayed at this location to run the half marathon event during the Porto Alegre Marathon. It was an awesome stay for that purpose because the hotel was thoughtful enough to start the breakfast earlier during race days and also, the location was only 400m away from km 30 of the marathon, being just a perfect place to stay if wanna cheer for someone who might be racing.

    I have stayed in more than a hundred hotels in South America and Hotel Erechim is the best hotel, not just in Brazil, but in South America…friendliest staff, clean room and hotel, cold air conditioner, convenient location, super value, great breakfast.
