We liked everything. We chose this place, because the rating for the location was 9.7 and for sure it is. It is amazingly beautiful place - beautiful mountains, peaceful ocean, cozy rooms with seashells used as part of the decoration everywhere. The boat trip that one can purchase from the Mar da Lua takes you to the true paradise beaches. We also chose the place as other guest were writing only great reviews about Mar da Lua owner Francisco. And for sure he deserved all of them - we wanted to organize one very special event for us there and he even gave a contact of his sister who helped to organize it for us. We are so grateful that Francisco allowed us to have a small family wedding there and so grateful to his sister who made it happen.

We had a relaxing and fun stay. We liked the beautiful and remote setting, friendly staff, excellent caipirinas and juices, good food, spacious and comfortable rooms, the private beach, the availability of paddle boards and kayaks, and the private hot tub. The New Year’s Eve dinner was magnificent.

Location is amazing! I don’t speak any Portuguese so communication was difficult but the owners are very kind. The air conditioning was great.

Owners didn’t really have a clue who I was. The beach is very quiet and no gringo’s which didn’t feel super safe.
