This B&B is set in the shores of the Paradise Bay Beach, 15 minutes’ drive from Exuma International Airport. It features a sun terrace, an extensive garden and a golf course. The cottages were so cute and clean. The view from the front door was amazing. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They made sure to give us all the details on local happenings. Resort was very clean and well maintained.
We stayed at the wonderful Grand Isle Resort and Spa, and rented a car to explore the island. Highly recommend renting a car, if only for a day to see outside the resort and experience local island life. Gems of little convenience stores, local places to grab a bite to eat & meet the islanders.
It’s difficult to review Farmes’s Hill because there is nothing. You either go to some beautiful beach or take a boat and be on water or go to another island. Exuma Islands are not developed so there isn’t much but it so worth to go fir the views, relax, tranquility, nature. I will definitely go back.
Beaches were the most beautiful I have ever seen!! We rented a car and drove to all the different beaches. Food was pricey at Grand Isles and only one choice. We took an all day boat excursion with Roberts island adventures to see the pigs, lizards, nurse sharks, grotto, and sand bar . I was spectacular and the highlight of our trip!
Best thing to do take the half or full day to see the local fauna. It's amazing you get to got off the boat so many times and visit unique island ( only accesible by boat ) and feed the iguanas and pigs. Don't waste your time in local restaurants, we had no luck so make a good reader he before you go, we didn't and we regret that.
The beach is beautiful, the villas are great, spacious and well equipped, the whole project is beautiful. There is only one restaurant at the property and the food is very poor, they take too long to serve too. We tried breakfast and lunch and both where really bad. We ended going to the grocery store to buy food and cooked our meals at the villas kitchen since it has everything you need to cook. The pub accross the street from the project serves dinner and is also very good, great pizza actually! The airport is like 20 min away and you need to get a taxi. We went to a full day excursion with four c's to go swimming with pigs, snorkeling at a grotto, swimming with sharks, see the iguanas and have a local bahamian lunch. It was great! Worth every penny!
I loved that it was very quiet, not a party town at all-although the "Fish Fry" on Friday night did bring out all the locals for some good music and food and lots of kalik and Bahama Mamas! The Bahamians were SO KIND to us, and really appreciated us visiting:) I felt very safe everywhere we went
