If you want to feel the calm and pleasant atmosphere of a welcoming city, you need to come here. Clean streets, fresh and low priced food, beautiful prospects and the old architecture combines with the smiley faces of the population. I love this city and the Minsk Region too. Lakes with swans, castles, churches. The roads are of a very good quality. Unforgettable...
Clean and not too crowded city with friendly infrastructure. Nice historical centre easy to be reached by public transport. Very welcoming attitude to visitors. Nice food and goods quality locally manufactured. Nature is protected.
It was an interesting city. I wish they could have some more halal options. It is not too expensive, accomodation is also affordable. Public transport quite cheap, especially the route of the bus. Yandex (online taxi ) is recommended and pretty cheap
Minsk is a charming city filled with wonderful people. Everyone I met was polite, respectful and helpful. There is a strong national pride of everyone who lives in Minsk and it is quite contagious! Local cuisine is fantastic and there are many great restaurants to choose from. Whatever you do, make sure you try the draniki. The many cafes are charming havens to take a rest and recharge while you explore this beautiful city. There is plenty of sightseeing, a couple of incredible castles nearby and several local parks that are so beautiful. You could spend a whole day at the Botanical Gardens and not feel like a second was wasted.
Metro is 80 Belorussian Rubles, dirt cheap. You can get to most places in Minsk for about $2 by taxi and they are reliable. You can even order in English through Viber. There is a lot to see, but be respectful to a different sensibility of culture, history, and national pride. The grocery stores were adequate. Coffee shops felt like Western Europe and the US. Many stores have gone out of business due to the COVID, so Google Maps is usually incorrect about where open businesses are. Ask a local. You can find many people who speak basic English, but still many times you will get in situations where no one does, even younger people. Book a place near the center promenade. The outskirts might be ok, but if this is your first time to Minsk you'll want to walk around the center. There is so much to see in such a small area.
Minsk is a lovely tidy town in the Russian style. Long boulevards and many pretty parks. There are lots of places to relax and have a good coffee. Shopping is limited. Taxis are cheap. It is very pleasant to walk around when the weather is good. People are friendly if a little reserved.
Room was small but not cramped. Bed was comfortable (double bed in a "single") and it had a window that could be opened. WiFi was sometimes intermittent and the best download speed was 2Mb/s, but upload up to 4Mb/s so it is obviously overloaded. Water dispenser in hallway. Most staff spoke English (pretty well, actually!) Excellent value for less than most business hotels.
Oktyabrsky District, Minsk
Value for money. Its not cheap if you compare with other hotels in the world (mine last in Istanbul was cheaper 16€ but better) but according to price in Minsk - its one of cheaper one, so use for one night.
Beautiful hotel with very professional and friendly staff throughout. Bed was very comfortable and room was spotless. Even the complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations.
It was an amazing stay! Breakfasts are SUPERB: lots of choices, unlimited food (buffet) and very delicious! For a 2 star hotel it was worth its value! 👍👍👍
Clean, great place. Staff is nice and helpful. Reasonable hotel much better than the others on the same price range.
It’s fairly clean and new property is in a pretty good location, which is comparable to other hotels in the area
