Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Gondola rides was closed that time, for 5 days under maintanances must be mentioned or announced in your offer, so I dont have to booked too near to location a bit disappointed..but overall we still enjoyed downtown Baff.
The Banff YWCA exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveller. For me, a luxury hotel is not important as I prefer to be out exploring and just needed a place to lay my head that was budget friendly. The room was very basic but clean and comfy. There’s a full size fridge and microwave for guests to use in lobby, ice machine and Coinamatic laundry facilities. The location is perfect, right beside the river and just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown. Staff was excellent as well.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Even before we departed the United States, the hotel 'concierge' swiftly and successfully booked Banff gondola tickets through Pursuit and bus transfers from/to Calgary and between Banff and Lake Louise with Brewster Express! Although the Royal Canadian Lodge was one of the hotels located furthest away from town, it was a relatively short walk there, and the shuttle stop was steps from the front door.
Lovely suite hotel in Banff, perfect for our family ski vacation. For a small fee we were moved to a room with a great view of the mountains. Super comfy beds, no noise, friendly staff and fresh coffee tea and milk brought to our room daily. It’s a 15/20 minute walk into Banff which suited us, there’s a free shuttle if you prefer. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment on the food. Would definitely recommend
A lovely 2-night stay in Banff - the hotel is exceptional from the room to the staff. The room was well accommodating, clean and spacious. The staff were so lovely and told us the best way to get to Lake Louise as it was very hard to get into due to high demand. The hotel is about a half an hour's walk along the main road from the hub of Banff, however, there is a free shuttle service and bikes.
Special mention to our man Rodney. Best reason to stay at this hotel together with all the staff. They made sure every needs and requests were met.
Check-in and check-out processes are a breeze!
I liked the interiors, a very modern touch. Microwave and coffee maker availability is a plus too.
Location is very close to downtown Banff and shops.
Beds are very comfortable.
This hotel was clean, open, well staffed well furnished and located near downtown Banff, within easy walking distance of what we needed. Room was comfortable with a little balcony that allowed us to enjoy fresh air. Parking in the underground garage was a big plus. Laundry facilities were clean and the machines worked well. Coins were available at the front desk.
The hotel was in a good location, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Banff. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and spacious. We were able to use the tennis court whilst waiting to check into our room (we arrived early). The views of the mountains from the hotel grounds were truly exceptional.
All the staff were really helpful and friendly and being able to use the pool and gym facilities in the sister hotel next door was a bonus.
Room was big and the location was great, being able to walk into Banff centre in a couple of minutes as well as being able to get to the shuttle bus stop (for Lake Louise etc) in a quick walk also
The hotel is amazing. Nice staff, always very helpful. The room was spacious, very comfortable and also very cozy.
The breakfast was buffet-type and there were multiple delicious choices to pick everyday.
The hotel is just 15 min-walk from Downtown Banff, and it is easy to access from the Highway.
It’s was quite and beautiful mountain view of the sulphur mountain. Upper Banff hot spring is just minute away from the hotel. My family enjoyed the sauna, hot pool and indoor pool. The food in the restaurants is mouth watering.
The downtown location, on-site facilities (pool, hot tubs and sauna) and excellent restaurant make the Moose Hotel my Banff favourite. Quiet, clean rooms and a pleasant, accommodating staff made the stay an enjoyable one.
Breakfast was in the sister hotel across the road and was buffet style. Other facilities; pool, gym were also in the sister hotel although we didn't use these. The location of the hotel is excellent for downtown Banff.
Amazing hotel! 1km walking from downtown Banff... very nice, well equipped, super comfy, great room, comfy beds, fast wifi. Spa/hot pool + sauna also nice... small gym as well. Nothing to complain about, really....
The location is great, just a couple of blocks from restaurants and shops in downtown Banff. There is also a supermarket a block from the hotel. Underground parking and ski storage are easily accessible.
This hotel is one of our favourites in Banff. Staff is always helpful and nice, room is always nice. Bed and pillows are unmatched, always best sleep there. We will be back soon again.
Everything, the location is great (approx 25mins from Banff).
Lovely little authentic cabin.
Fantastic restaurant - best meal we had in Canada. Top marks to the chef!
