Very comfortable room with balcony looking at the mountains. Hotel was away from the hustle of downtown Banff, so it was nice and quiet, but still convenient. They gave us free bus passes to get around town for easy access. The staff was very friendly and stay was very comfortable.

We loved this place! We (me and my partner) booked two nights in the lodge and it was amazing. It has a beautiful lobby and restaurant after the entrance to the reception. Staff was amazing, very friendly and ready to help. We also had dinner in the restaurant and I had amazing BBQ Pork Ribs. Very close to Banff downtown, either 25min walk or 5min drive. The room had all the amenities needed with a very comfortable bed and fireplace. The views from the balcony were stunning! This is the best accommodation we have stayed in so far and I'm not exaggerating! Definitely worth booking as I know we will when we visit Banff again.

Nice Main Street with lots of touristy shops. Plenty of places to eat. Wouldn’t want to visit in the main season as it was busy when we were there in September. Loads to see and do in the surrounding area with great transport links to the Gondola, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the other tourist hot spots.

Banff is a great place with a super vibe based on the beauty of the forest and mountains. Kids working the restaurants and bars are really nice. In September, we didn’t find it noisy or too crowded but just right. You can easily drive or bike to many local attractions. I recommend a E bike.

Banff was a great a place to shop but parking was a problem though I had a handicapped sign. The 9 hour tour we took in a 14 passenger van was wonderful. It is a beautiful park. I would recommend the Viator tour. We did hike the Hoodoo Trail near our Banff rocky Mountain resort and enjoyed Canmore, too as we are skiers. The Legacy bike trail was amazing though we did not bring our bikes this time.

Banff is an interesting town to visit in the summer, with a quaint, slightly western, ski-town vibe. We were there for two days at the end of August, along with many other people! Picked our historic hotel, Mount Royal, based on location. Lots of quirky souvenir shops line the totally walkable streets as well as great restaurants. Quite a few nice places to just sit, relax, and grab a craft beer, and there's even a rooftop bar! Try the pizza at Three Bears Brewery on Bear St--it's to die for!! Coffee houses and tea shops are in the area too. Loved the free transportation to the scenic Gondola up Sulphur Mtn--a must do! You'll need a ticket as it gets quite crowded. Once at the top, take the deck walk all the way up (376 steps but they're spread out, plus have areas for scenic photos and/or to catch your breath). You'll be rewarded with great views of the Cascade mountain range with the town of Banff below. We had a champagne toast to our anniversary at the Skydeck Bistro for lunch (be sure to reserve as it is quite busy). Once back in town you can bus it to visit the stately, castle-like Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel located just outside of town, for a drink on the scenic patio of the Rundle Bar. Many steak/bison restaurants (Chuck's, Grizzly) are within walking distance in town, but we opted for a short taxi ride to have a mountain view sunset dinner at the Juniper Hotel Bistro's patio. Our last morning before heading out we grabbed some homemade granola and scones, with freshly brewed coffee, at the Wild Flour Bakery, open at 7am. We left Banff mid-morning and took the scenic route to Lake Louise for even more beautiful scenery and hiking. Highly recommend visiting Banff/Lake Louise area in the summer. It is a breathtakingly beautiful area!

Where do I start?! Fabulous hotel beautifully located in downtown Banff. Spent 3 glorious days making the most of the hiking trails from the hotel, then enjoyed sloshing around in the hot pools to ease post hiking muscles. The bar is a great convivial spot, and although we ate in the restaurant one night the best places to eat are 2 minutes walk away. The roaring fire in the lobby gave the entire property the sweet smell of woodsmoke. We honestly loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the heart of Banff, but still peaceful enough to relax and take in the mountain views. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with cozy rooms and excellent amenities. A real highlight was the on-site coffee shop—absolutely fabulous coffee and a great spot to start the day. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay in Banff!
