Just over 1 mile from the Peace Bridge and 19 miles from Niagara Falls, this motel in Fort Erie features a non-smoking environment and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. This property is probably 50 years old but it is well kept up. It is very basic but it has everything that I need.
This was a great location close to niagra falls and other attractions in the area. The hotel is nice, the only downfall is that they preauthorized two days of charges on our rooms for a charge that was for amenities. This is not returned until you leave or check out. They said it was a preauthorization but they really charged my account and others that stayed thee also, because many people complained the next morning during breakfast.
We didn't really spend our time in Fort Erie sight seeing or trying food. It was an inexpensive alternative to staying in expensive Niagara Falls or Niagara on the Lake but still close enough to go to these places as tourists.
It was a great stay in Fort Erie, a beautiful clear small town with different experience. People there are friend with smile on their face. But the cashier in LCBO did not impress us for her impolite service.
It's a decent, clean town. I was "just passing through". It puts you about two hours from Toronto. Unfortunately, I was doing so on Labor Day, and they roll the sidewalks up. The Barrell was open- good food, a block and a half away from the Haven Motel.
Nice town...old part was depressing. Area up and down route 3 much more contemporary, but many vacant buildings-and commercial spaces. Should upgrade riverfront areas-could be a great amenity and attraction.
Friendly little town. Great community spirit, especially for their racetrack, We visited from Toronto for the Price of Wales Stakes, and the track was packed with the local toiwnspeople, On the morning we went down to Fort Erie, we rebooked our interviews for the Nexus Card to the next day, which was extremely handy and saved us from having to navgfate around Pearson Airport and waiting months for our interview there. If you want to get a Nexus card, book your interview at Fort Erie,

This motel was the only establishment in the Fort Erie area with a room available during the August long weekend, and because we were in need of a room, I went ahead and booked. I assumed it would be a sketchy motel but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The room, although outdated, was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable and the man at the front counter was very friendly. We were able to park right infront of our room which was a nice perk. There is no outdoor pool however, like the website states.

Lovely place to stay loads of places to visit and see IE. Fort Erie good bit of History 1812 war, Niagara Falls only 30 minuets away and even Buffalo across the piece bridge to the USA. Good place to hire bikes and some lovely places to visit along the shores of Lake Erie.

Have visited this hotel several times. Now a little tired but clean and comfortable. Restaurant used to be very good, with many Canadian dishes and wines on offer. Sadly depleted now. Food and choice available poor.
