What a stunning retreat from the world. And terrific that the staff is comprised of young travelers as well. The log lodge is a stunning piece of architecture, though the kitchen would benefit from better ventilation. I arrived on a quite hot day in BC and was so relieved to be shown a below ground room that was cool and comfortable given the building normally needs no air conditioning. The dinner prepared smelled, and apparently tasted, scrumptious though I did not partake. (My error). The Chef did assist me to steep some ginger tea to help with my travel beverages. I was also able to have a small bag of ice to amend my thermal Wawa cup. The esthetics of the bedroom were pleasing.
