I grew up in the Kingston area and will travel there to visit family throughout the year. I love the city, love being able to show it to my partner and discovering new things about the city. Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way.
Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way. We were en route back to Toronto airport and had passed through on our way through originally to Ottawa/Montreal /Quebec and beyond. We didn't know about the 1000 Island National Park so it was a delightful surprise to find out more on the 3 hour river cruise. The independent book shop was a wee gem as are the adirondeck chairs scattered around. Great city for a quick getaway, Lots of phenomenal restaurants and shops to poke around in. Kingston is a fun town with some complexity. The room was well stocked. The tv was kind of small but it was ok. I liked having fridge and microwave. We didn't know there was breakfast if there was - not sure. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay but certainly less expensive that other places. Parking was a bonus. Free Wifi was good. Water and snacks in the lobby - nice touch.
