It was a very good location and room is comfortable. The only issue is that the kitchen facilities were very crowded during peak hours and one of the induction stove were not working.

The hostel is well-run by Lars, who gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. The 12-bed dorms are actually split into two parts with 6 beds each which provided a more private and quiet experience than expected. With no electricity, no phone reception, and only 1 hour wifi per day, the hostel forces you to disconnect and instead enjoy the nature, the sauna, and each others' company. With only around 20km to Lake Louise, it is the ideal base for exploring some of the highlights in Banff.
